One scheduling change that improves senior dog care immediately: block senior wellness visits for 45 to 60 minutes.

Not because you need to fill the time. Because a senior dog with three comorbidities and a concerned owner requires a different clinical encounter than a routine adult annual.

Pain assessment. Mobility scoring. Cognitive screening. Senior-specific discharge planning. These do not happen consistently when the appointment is 20 minutes and you are already behind.

The schedule is the protocol. Build it to match the patient.
