🐾 Update on Our Furry Patient 🐾

This sweet dog came to us because he was limping on his front leg. After taking X-rays, we found an unusual change in one of the bones in his leg.

To find out exactly what’s going on, we took a small sample from the bone (biopsy) and sent it to a specialized lab. The results will help us understand the cause and decide the best treatment.

There can be different reasons for this kind of bone change. Sometimes it can be something serious like cancer, but other times it could be an infection or even inflammation of the bone.

Right now, we are waiting for answers and staying hopeful. ❤️
Please keep this brave pup in your thoughts!

Left Elbow Luxation – Advanced Repair 🐾

This brave furry patient presented with a medially luxated left elbow following trauma. An initial attempt at closed reduction under fluoroscopic guidance was unsuccessful due to complete rupture of the lateral collateral ligament and soft tissue impingement in olecranon fossa.

Given the instability, we proceeded with surgical repair. ORIF was performed using the Arthrex Vet System as a substitute for the lateral collateral ligament. Bone anchors were precisely placed in the radius and ulna to recreate ligament stability and restore joint alignment.

Happy to report that our furry friend is recovering well and on the road to a strong, functional limb again! 💪🐶

🐾 Feline Trauma Case – Pelvic Fracture Repair 🐾

This brave kitty presented after a suspected fall from height (likely a tree), resulting in complex pelvic injuries including:
• Mid-right ilial fracture (short oblique)
• Left sacroiliac (SI) joint luxation

Surgical stabilization was performed under general anesthesia, including:
• Open Reduction and Internal Fixation (ORIF) of the right ilial fracture
• Stabilization of the left SI joint

We’re happy to report that the patient is recovering well post-operatively and is on the road to a full recovery! 🐱💪

Falls can lead to significant orthopedic injuries in cats, but with timely intervention and proper surgical management, outcomes can be very rewarding.
