**we do NOT offer any housing accommodations**
Barn Manager - Full Time *This also means availability to cover when/if staff members are not able to attend their shift, Monday-Sunday.
What makes me qualified?
Mandatory:
- 5+ years working knowledge working with horses
- Strong management skills/qualities (personnel and task management)
- Attention to detail
- Strong work ethic, self-starting.
- Strong communication skills
- Time management skills
- Reliable transportation
- Knowledge in first aid care, wrapping, administration of medications etc.
- Confidence handling horses
- References will be contacted
Other (bonus skills):
- Previous farm management experience
- Knowledge in Feed/Nutrition
- Western/Reining experience (bonus but not required)
What should I expect in this role?
Key responsibilities
- Daily organization and management of staff and tasks.
- Create and organize feed and hay deliveries.
- Observation and attention to details of horse health & daily needs.
- Observation and completion of general property care & maintenance.
Job Details
Organize and maintain daily operations for the farm such as but not limited to:
- Management of 17 stall barn
- Team scheduling
- Create and organize feed and hay deliveries
- Recognizing and outlining daily routines/tasks
- Prioritizing tasks
- Observe and maintain cleanliness around the property and barns
- Customer service
- Full care of operations while Owner/Trainers away for competitions
- Equine Emergency care
- Administration of medications
- Bath/maintain physical appearance of Reining show/training horses
- Lounge/hand walk horses where required
- Communicate with Head Trainer/Owner
- Assist with preparation for shows ( example: pack trailer, etc.)
- Assistance with chores where required (i.e. busy day, staff are unwell, period of hiring etc.)
