On behalf of the Nova Scotia Veterinary Medical Association, Dr Melissa was honoured to present Dr Gwen Mowbray-Cashen with the Hubert S Bennett award on Saturday.

This is given to a veterinarian who has a strong career of achievement and dedication to our profession. We can’t think of a more deserving recipient! Dr Gwen has been well loved by thousands of clients and patients… and spent years building the business that Truro Vet has become. Her influence has shaped our team and we will continue to honour that in the work we do💜🐾

October is RVT month.. and while this crew should be celebrated year round this gives us a chance to recognize all they do and their contribution to our every day work.

Registered veterinary technicians are highly trained professionals that administer and monitor anesthesia, analyze blood/urine/fecal and cell samples, provide endless care to our patients and education to our clients. They are essential to our veterinary team and we are so lucky to have an amazing group of talented technicians.

Thanks to Monique, Anna, Katlyn, Shannon, Jacqulyn, Aiden, Catherine, (missing from photo Caitlin, Hayley, Alexis) 💜🐾

We know vet visits with cats can be stressful! Check out how relaxed Bean is at our Cat Clinic during her recent appointment with us.

A quiet, calm space with a team trained in low stress handling can make a big difference to our feline patients💜🐾

We had some great country star representation today when Dolly Parton (left with Laiden) and Reba (right with Kalie) were here for surgery! 🎼🎤🩷
