While Smokey has nothing to report from today’s obedience trial, I did earn HIT with my brother’s male PWD, Ranger.

I also learned that Navy is ready to trial in Companion Dog but needs more practice with her sit and down stays, especially with other dogs in the lineup. Meanwhile, Smokey was flat during her trials so I need to work more matches to see if the chaos outside the ring is causing her to shutdown. Overall, really happy with the progress of all 3 dogs and have a plan for what to work on over the coming months.

One hour to go before our first trial of the year begins and I’m sweaty and stressed!

Honestly you would think this is the first time I am competing with a dog. Unfortunately the pre-trial jitters never go away for me but hopefully I’ve learned how to find them from my dogs better over the years. Wish us luck today with our CD and CDX runs :-)

Starting to plan Smokey’s breeding on her next heat cycle. While this comes with a lot of responsibility and coordination with the stud dog owner, looking at puppy enrichment is fun and easy (but not necessarily cheap). Lol
