KithnKin PWDs Breeder of Portuguese Water Dogs As a small-scale home-based breeder, my focus is on producing medium-sized dogs that excel in various dog sports.

I prioritize health, temperament, and athleticism in my breeding program to ensure that my puppies not only thrive in competitive environments but also make excellent family companions. The Portuguese Water Dog is renowned for its versatility and intelligence, enabling it to excel in agility, obedience, and other dog sports. My breeding practices are centered on responsible and ethical standards,

including genetic testing and careful selection of both dam and sire. I ensure the puppies are well-socialized from an early age, introducing them to different environments, people, and experiences to build their confidence and adaptability. Each puppy is raised in a loving home environment, where they receive the attention and training needed to prepare them for their future homes. I also provide potential buyers with guidance on training and sports participation, so they can enjoy a fulfilling experience with their new companion. By focusing on quality over quantity, I aim to contribute to the breed’s excellence in sports while ensuring that each dog is a healthy, happy member of a family. Work week shenanigans for the girls:

- Monday:
Obedience training with K9IQ started with a brave bunny hanging out in front of our garage and then Navy finding a new way to “balance” on the FitBone

- Tuesday Night:
Water training at Shortt’s Lake where we ended up watching a bumper float away, as no one was feeling like swimming out for it (myself included). Nice with me swims from both girls, retrieves of float line with delivery to hand over the 3’ line, and a couple underwater retrieves of various toys. On the drive home we saw a double rainbow. 🌈

Meanwhile Smokey went from being cautious and unsure of this new game, to getting to the treats as quickly as possible! ...

Bodie had an amazing time over the past 5 days. He got to play with his brother, reacquainted with Mom, Navy and Finnigan, numerous drives, visits with new humans and even an off leash walk with Smokey. He was super quick to learn what was expected during his kennel time!

Hijinx and Bodie are having a sleepover before Hijinx heads out for Conformation bootcamp with Kim and Joslyn Mackay. Whereas, Bodie will spend some time here gaining confidence being away from his owners, working on his crate manners and interacting with different dogs before heading back home on Sunday.

Yesterday we focused on walking into and out of the water with me, along with a few short with me swims! Today was all about the retrieve and swimming longer distances
