BOARD & TRAIN programs are intensive, structured training programs designed to set your dog up for success!
**Why**
People choose BOARD & TRAIN programs to address behavioral needs that may be difficult to train and manage at home without a trainer's expertise. Often, pet owners lack the time, knowledge and skills necessary to modify behaviors quickly and effectively. In a BOARD & TRAIN program, a trainer spends every day with your dog in a structured, controlled environment, laying a solid foundation for success. Once this foundation is established, the trainer can expose your dog to real-world situations to ensure they understand what is expected. This knowledge is then transferred back to you, enabling you to continue the training effectively at home.
**Where**
Located in Stony Plain, AB, The Doghouse a Canine Academy will be your dog's home for the next 4 to 6 weeks, providing plenty of opportunities for field trips throughout Parkland County, AB.
**Who**
Carissa is an established dog trainer and coach with extensive experience in behavior modification and obedience training. She possesses a rare talent that allows her to effectively coach both dogs and their owners. You will be amazed by her ability to connect with your dog and guide you through the training process!
**How**
One hour training consultations are $175 plus gst and the cost is dissolved into the BOARD & TRAIN program if you choose to move ahead.
BOARD & TRAIN programs start at $3,999 for 4 weeks and go up to $5,999 for 6 weeks. Payment plans with no interest are available. We also offer discounts through our Training Assistance Program for those who volunteer.
