Some dogs get rescued... and then spend the rest of their lives rescuing others. ❤️🐾

Meet Gordie, a proud Pit Bulls for Life Foundation of Alberta & Sanctuary and quite possibly one of the very best boys you'll ever meet.

Since finding his forever family, Gordie has been giving back in every way imaginable. He's helped out at countless events, worked as a certified greeter welcoming everyone with his happy smile, and has been the world's best foster brother to more dogs than I could possibly count.

On one of his recent visits to The Doghouse a Canine Academy , I couldn't resist sneaking him into the studio for a few quick portraits...

And honestly? I think it's safe to add professional model to his already impressive résumé. 📸✨

From the perfectly serious poses to the adorable nose lick, Gordie absolutely nailed every second in front of the camera. More importantly, he reminds us what rescue is really about. It's not just about giving a dog a second chance—it's about watching them grow into the kind of dog who helps countless others find theirs.

Thanks for being such an incredible ambassador, foster brother, greeter, and all-around good boy, Gordie. The world is a better place because you're in it. ❤️

Don't let the grey face fool you... this guy still has plenty of zoomies left. 🩶🐾

Everyone meet Duke, another new face in the Pit Bulls for Life Foundation of Alberta & Sanctuary

When I heard Duke was a senior, I was expecting a calm, laid-back session. Duke clearly did not get that memo. 😂

Within minutes he was doing zoomies around the studio, bouncing around like a puppy, launching himself for treats with Olympic-level precision, and keeping me laughing the entire time. His treat-catching skills? Absolutely unmatched. 🎯🍪

Behind that distinguished grey muzzle is a happy, goofy gentleman who is still ready to embrace every adventure that comes his way. Age is just a number when you've got this much joy packed into one dog.

Duke is just settling into rescue life, but one thing is already clear... he's stolen a little piece of my heart. ❤️

Welcome to the Pit Bulls for Life family, Duke. Here's to many more adventures ahead!

New face. New beginning. 💙🐾

Everyone meet Zippy, the newest member of the Pit Bulls for Life Foundation of Alberta & Sanctuary

She may have walked into the studio a little unsure of this whole "photoshoot" thing (and honestly, who could blame her?), but it didn't take long before a few tasty treats convinced her that maybe this place wasn't so scary after all. 🍪

Once she realized the snack bar was open, her sweet personality started to shine. Those soft eyes, those adorable little floppy ears, and that gorgeous black-and-white coat... she's an absolute beauty inside and out.

Zippy is still settling into rescue life, so she'll be taking some time to decompress before she's ready to start accepting adoption applications. For now, she's safe, loved, and getting the chance to discover that the world can be a pretty wonderful place.

I have a feeling she's going to steal a lot of hearts. ❤️

Welcome to the family, Zippy. We can't wait to watch your next chapter unfold.

Meet: Zippy, Duke & Thelma!
Pit Bulls for Life Foundation

Three different personalities.
Three different stories.
One thing they all have in common…

They’re all waiting for someone to choose them.

Days like this are my favourite. Getting to capture these amazing dogs so the world can see them the way I do, goofy, sweet, loving, and so deserving of a family.

I can’t wait to share their portraits with you. Maybe one of them is the missing piece to your family. ❤️

Me: “He’s an older dog, he’ll probably be nice and mellow.”

Duke: activates turbo mode 💨😂

Welcome to the Pit Bulls for Life Foundation family, Duke. I think you’re going to fit in just fine. ❤️

The face you make when someone says... "No more treats." 😂👅

I don't believe it either.

One perfectly timed nose lick...
Two satellite ears...
And approximately 0.3 seconds before asking for another snack.

This is exactly why I love photographing dogs. You can plan the setup, the lighting, and the backdrop... but the best moments are always the ones they create themselves.

The silly faces.
The goofy tongues.
The "did I just miss the treat?" expressions.

Those are the photos that make you laugh every time you see them.

So here's your reminder: don't wait for your dog to be perfect before booking a session. Their goofy quirks are exactly what you'll want to remember years from now. ❤️🐾

Sometimes the best portraits aren't the ones looking straight at the camera. ❤️

There's something about a profile that tells a different story.

The strong jaw.
The soft expression.
The way the light catches every little detail.

It's a reminder that beauty doesn't always need eye contact. Sometimes it's found in the quiet moments... when they're simply watching the world go by.

One of my favorite things about photographing dogs is capturing who they are, not just asking them to sit and smile. Every glance, every ear twitch, every curious look tells part of their story.

And honestly... I think side profiles deserve a little more love. 🐾

Meet Chance. ❤️🐾

If there was an award for "Most Expressive Face," I'm pretty sure Chance would win it.

📸 Picture 1: "I shall pose like the distinguished gentleman I am."

📸 Picture 2: "Okay... but do you have snacks?"

📸 Picture 3: "Did someone say... adoption?"

Behind those adorable expressions is an incredible dog who is looking for the one thing every rescue deserves, a family to call his own.

Chance is currently available for adoption through Pit Bulls for Life Foundation of Alberta & Sanctuary , and while I may be a little biased after spending time with him in the studio, I think he's pretty close to perfect. Sweet, handsome, full of personality, and guaranteed to make you smile every single day.

He doesn't need a perfect home.
He just needs his home.

If Chance has caught your eye, reach out to Pit Bulls for Life to learn more about him. And if you can't adopt right now, sharing his face could help him find the people he's been waiting for. ❤️

I was aiming for a perfectly polished portrait...

Instead, we got a slubber bubble. 😂🫧

Honestly? I think it's an improvement.

Some dogs smile.
Some dogs tilt their heads.
And some dogs casually blow a bubble while trying their absolute hardest to earn the next treat.

It's these perfectly imperfect moments that end up being my favorites. They capture personality in a way that a perfectly posed photo never could.

So here's to the dogs who drool, slubber, snort, and leave a trail of slobber everywhere they go. You make my job way more entertaining. ❤️

Tell me... has your dog ever blown a slubber bubble, or is this talented pup in a league of their own? 😂
