Our puppy raisers are such a vital part of what we do 💛🐾
The love, time, guidance, and experiences they provide during these early stages help shape the incredible dogs these puppies grow into.
This boy absolutely lucked out with his puppy raiser at CommuniCanine, and we have no doubt he is going to thrive with the support, care, and dedication being poured into him already.

🦮Introducing.... Oswald!! 🦮
Oswald is a 4 month old Labrador Retriever and one of Woofability Service Dog Training's most recent litter of service dog puppies. I have volunteered to raise him for the next year until he's ready to go to his forever handler.
I've only had him a couple of days and I can tell you right now I'm gonna ugly cry when I have to let him go. Mind you, he'll be in his terrible teens by then sooooo maybe not. 😅
Follow along as I share his journey and what it takes to raise and train a puppy into a service dog, at least the part that I contribute to. (Hint: It starts with the right parents with the right genetic predisposition before the puppies are even conceived.)
Not every puppy raised as a service dog becomes one in the end, but whether he does or doesn't, it'll still be great to have a hand in potentially making someone's life way better because he's in it.
