Ever wanted to foster a shelter dog but couldn’t commit long term? Now you can make a huge difference in just ONE day 💙.

Doggy Daycation gives our shelter pups the chance to take a break from kennel life and enjoy a fun adventure out in the community. Whether it’s going for a walk, grabbing a pup cup, exploring pet friendly stores, or simply spending time soaking up love and attention, every outing helps our dogs decompress, build confidence, and show off their amazing personalities 🥹💙.

The best part? You only have to “foster” for the day! We’ll provide everything you need, including supplies, important information about your doggy adventure buddy, and plenty of tips to help make the day fun and stress free 🥰.

Not only will you give a shelter dog the BEST day ever, but you’ll also help them get noticed by potential adopters while learning more about how they do outside the shelter environment 😁😁.

Punishing reactive behaviour may suppress the outward display, but it doesn’t change the underlying emotional state.

Studies on punishment‑based training show:

➡ Increased stress hormones

➡ Higher risk of aggression

➡ Reduced learning

➡ Impaired dog–owner relationship
(Ziv, 2017)

A dog who’s punished for barking at a trigger doesn’t learn that the trigger is safe — they learn that the world is frightening and their human becomes unpredictable when they’re scared.

Behaviour improves when the dog feels safe, not when they feel shut down.
