The Little Nose that Knows The Little Nose that Knows specializes in Scent Detection training for pets and sport competition. Primary focus is SDDA (Sporting Detection Dog Assoc).

The Little Nose is focuses on training scent detection to ANY dog, we promote the sport as a game the old, young, shy or rambunctious dog can play. It makes a great game for cold winter days and we also promote the sport competition, primarily SDDA (Sporting Detection Dog Association) guidelines with expansion into UKC, SDS, C-WAGS. And we are learning and growing all the time, no type of sport de

tection is off limits. In partnership with other hobbyist dog sport lovers we also offer Rally Obedience (Rally O), drop in practices, seminars and host trials. We are adding to our educational repertoire all the time, so you never know what we will have for you next! We strive to promote a positive atmosphere for all dogs and handlers/owners who cross our path. We hope to amplify interest in dog sports in the community. My education in Scent Detection is by no means complete, I believe every instance offers something new and we are always growing. Some of my training includes: Andrew Ramsey Nosework method,mentoring workshops with multiple SDDA judges, and am in the process of completing Gold Level Fenzi dog NW training. Every year I choose to participate in educational opportunities so I always have something new to offer my students. Above all, we have fun at Little Nose and our smiles show it. :)

Back by popular demand - Join us at CA Humane on Sunday, May 4th for a full day of learning valuable skills to help your furry companions in an emergency. 🐶🐱 This course is in conjunction with Canine Coaching who present the Walks 'N' Wags Pet First Aid curriculum. Walks ‘N’ Wags is one of the longest operating Pet First Aid companies in Canada.

This course is applicable for both dog and cat owners. You will receive a user-friendly manual complete with custom illustrations to assist you in your time of need, as well a Certificate of Completion upon passing the course that is valid for 3 years.⛑️

It's time for our big surprise!
The Little Nose that Knows is pleased to announce our Holiday Pup Party Fundraiser Extravaganza!! There's something for every dog at this event with 4 different activities to choose from including holiday photos, boneyard style searches and a toy grab, see the poster for details!

We don't do a big event every year, but when we do we make it count. The Little Nose that Knows is about to start a year of celebrations in 2025 and to kick it off, we're throwing a Holiday party and raising funds for an organization that is near and dear to us: Red Deer Safety City Society. Safety City runs programs for school aged children throughout Central Alberta, teaching preventative and common sense safety lessons, teaching kids to think of safety before acting. All the proceeds from this event will be donated to Safety City to support their programs in 2025.
