🐾 Please note- I ONLY work Sundays, Mondays & Tuesdays currently, so I most likely won't answer right away. I always answer messages in order received so you don't have to worry about missing out if I don't reply right away!
🐾 I also only book appointments via text or Facebook message, this helps me stay organized. When my phone rings, 99% of the time I'm busy with another dog, or I'm at home with baby so I often don't see it anyway.

But PLEASE note- I do not work with adult dogs (over 2years old) that have behavioral issues around grooming. I don't have, nor do I use, muzzles for the reason that if a dog is stressed enough that it is absolutely necessary to use one instead of a cone, I'm not the right groomer for your pup. BUT, I have recommendations for other groomers that DO work with those kinds of issues. 💕

Since starting my own business just over 5 years ago, Ive done my best to keep prices low and in that time, for most people, have only increased by about $5 - $20 in total. Unfortunately this just hasn't been sustainable for the quality of work I strive to produce, so over my leave, I educated myself more in depth on the subject and took a better look at how my prices are structured. No one likes this kind of change, but I love my work, my puppies, and I want to create a sustainable business that I can continue for my foreseeable future. In the photo attached, you will see my updated price list starting FEBRUARY 1ST. If you have an appointment booked, I will be sending reminder texts the day before with the updated estimate of the grooming cost, this way I shouldn't be surprising anyone.

SUPRISE ! 👐
I thought I'd be gone till the spring, but the stay-at-home mom life isn't for me. I miss my puppies (and talking to adults)!! Appointments start December 1st and will be available on SUNDAYS 2-8pm(loosely), MONDAYS &TUESDAYS 11-7pm ONLY. That being said- if you found a groomer in my absence that you are happy with I encourage you to stay on their schedule as I know so many of my clients weren't so lucky.
I'm expecting a lot of messages, so to make things a little smoother please message me with your preferred day & time and I will contact everyone in the order received.

Reminder- Since baby's arrival I have not, and will not be, checking texts, phone calls or messages. The Bark Shop is temporarily closed. Once a reopening date is set sometime next spring/summer, I will post here and also send a text notifying all my clients!

🎀 Offically on Maternity leave 🎀

🐾 As of May 1st The Bark Shop is closed, I planned on making it farther into May but life had other plans.
🐾 While I'm waiting for baby's arrival I will occasionally check my work phone incase anyone still needs their grooming instructions or recommendations. Of course, once baby is here my phone will be off.
🐾 I plan to return early next summer, but I will post here & send a text to all my client contacts when I know a for sure date and location.

❤️ I want to say a HUGE Thank You to all my amazing clients, I'm so overwhelmed with all the cards and gifts and words of support. I have been grooming for 9 years now and I'm absolutely so full of gratitude for everyone who's new to me, and those who've been with me through starting this career, to opening my own business, to moving locations. I will miss you and all my puppies so much, i hope to see you all next year! ❤️

✨️I am fully booked until April 20th, which means I no longer have any available space for large/medium breeds! Between April 20th and May 23rd I will only be booking small breed dogs or medium sized dogs who are calm enough and safe to bathe in my small dog bath tub.
🐾 I am slowing down a little while I work thanks to some blood pressure and blood sugar issues, so please understand I may need an extra 10 or 15 minutes to complete the groom. Don't worry, your pups also get an extra 10-15 minutes of pets while I eat or sit!💕
🐾 Definitely let me know if you need any recommendations for groomers while I'm away, there are so many great groomers in town I don't think anyone should have a difficult time finding someone. Just make sure to PREBOOK !✨️

Happy New Year ! 🎉
Some big news for the coming spring, here's a couple more things not included in the q&a 👇👇👇
🐾 Between April 20th (Easter) and May 23rd, I will only be booking small dogs. (If you have a poodle/doodle booked during this time, don't worry, their appointment won't change!)
🐾 I am announcing my maternity leave a little early, but it's so anyone who has another groomer in mind can get on their waitlist early! I am holding off on giving out specific recommendations before March as other groomers may not be accepting new clients by the time you go to book with them.

I so appreciate all the love I've received from those who are already aware & Thank you for everyone's understanding going forward! 💕💕

🐾 I will be away from September 21st until October 8th, all texts and messages will be answered in the order recieved the following week.
🐾 Keep in mind I'm currently booking the end of November and space before Christmas is filling up, so if your pup still needs a spot before the end of the year reach out to me and we'll get them booked as soon as I'm back ! 😁

🐾 I know there is such a huge demand for grooming in Prince George but I'm now solidly booked 10+ weeks in advance, which I am so grateful for, though it is making it a little difficult to book preexisting clients. Please let me know if there are any questions/concerns or if you need a recommendation for a groomer taking new clientele!
