Delbert Dillman is well known for his expertise, passion and love of the sport in the Draft Horse Industry. Being a teamster all his life, he has learned many sills from the old timers – including his father. Starting out in Nova Scotia at the age of 7 logging with a single pony, Delbert grew up to love the ‘Sport of Horse Pulling.’ By 14 Delbert was pulling throughout the Maritime Provinces, movi
ng to British Columbia by 19 to continue pulling horses in both the U.S and Canada, farming with horses and horse logging. The horse’s mental and physical well-being is the Dillman family’s top priority. Each horse has its own conditioning program. This consists of the best hay, grain and supplements in the industry. All horses are conditioned physically by doing farm work which includes plowing, discing, harrowing, spreading manure and lugging weights around a half mile track.
