They do amazing work helping turtles get the medical support they need, rehabilitation and turtle wildlife education. The Ontario Turtle Conservation Centre is located right here in Peterborough! Have you had your pet's stool sample checked lately? Intestinal parasites are lurking behind every corner...(and in every park, lawn and grassy surface) Parasites aren't just for puppies & kittens, who are given dewormers only when they're young. Most pets will have exposure to some sort of parasite in their environment MULTIPLE times throughout their ENTIRE lifespan! Often without even showing symptoms!
Yes even those indoor kitties... have you ever seen a mouse in the house? Those lil' critters carry parasites and are happy to pass them on!
The only way to check for those unwanted parasites is...yup you guessed it! Bring us your (pet's) P**P!! We send it to the lab and they not only look for parasite eggs microscopically, but also run antigen tests to see if your pet has had exposure to specific parasites as well!! Gross we know...but thorough! 😁 Give us a call and we'd be happy to help!
