Today we’re highlighting one of our incredible veterinary technicians, Brittanie! ❤️🐾

Over the past year, Brittanie has become an essential part of the Peterborough West Animal Hospital family. In that time, she has made a lasting impression on our team, our clients, and, most importantly, our patients through her compassion, dedication, and willingness to take on any challenge that comes her way.

Known for her calm presence during even the busiest moments, Brittanie has a special talent for helping patients feel comfortable and cared for. Whether she’s assisting with procedures, monitoring patients, mastering a new skill, or showing off her impressive vein-finding abilities, she approaches every task with confidence, kindness, and a genuine love for what she does. ✨

Outside of the clinic, Brittanie enjoys spending time with her dog, camping, creating art, and making memories with family and friends. 🎨🏕️🐶

Over the last year, we’ve watched her grow tremendously, and we couldn’t be more proud of everything she has accomplished. Her eagerness to learn, positive attitude, and big heart make her a valued member of our team and a bright future in veterinary medicine.

Next up is one of our amazing RVTs, Danielle! 💚🐾

If you’ve been missing Danielle around the clinic, you’re not alone! She has been busy growing her beautiful family, but we’re excited to share that she’ll be back with us soon — and we can’t wait. ❤️

Danielle brings so much compassion, knowledge, and positivity to everything she does. Whether she’s helping create nutritional plans, educating clients, caring for patients, or offering comfort to worried pet parents, she always goes above and beyond to make a difference.

Known for her gentle touch, sharp mind, and big heart, Danielle has a special passion for nutrition and helping pets live their healthiest, happiest lives. Outside of the clinic, she loves spending time with her family, gardening, enjoying the outdoors, and hanging out with her beloved horse Loki and dog Gizba. 🐴🌿🐶

Her warmth, dedication, and genuine love for both animals and people make her such a valued part of the Peterborough West Animal Hospital family.

Whether she’s managing a challenging emergency, educating pet owners, or providing comfort during difficult moments, Dr. Katie approaches every patient with skill, empathy, and an unwavering commitment to doing what’s best for them. Her calm confidence and dedication make her someone both clients and coworkers know they can count on.

Whether she’s working through a complicated case, comforting a nervous patient, or supporting pet owners through important decisions, she approaches every situation with care and kindness.

Dr. Alexis has a special love for cats and corgis, a passion for learning, and a curiosity that makes her an incredible advocate for her patients. 🐾 Staff Spotlight: Olivia 💚

You may recognize Olivia as one of our amazing Veterinary Assistants who joins us during her summer and school breaks from the University of Guelph. While she’s busy pursuing her education, we’re always excited when she’s back at Peterborough West Animal Hospital helping care for our patients and supporting our team.

Olivia brings a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and genuine love of animals to every shift. Whether she’s helping behind the scenes, assisting with patient care, or lending a hand wherever needed, she’s always ready to jump in with a smile and a willingness to learn.

When she’s not studying or working at the clinic, Olivia enjoys spending time with her dog Paisley and has a passion for the agricultural world, especially showing Hereford cattle. Her dedication to animal care, both large and small, shines through in everything she does.

We’re proud to be a small part of Olivia’s veterinary journey and love watching her grow in knowledge and confidence each year. We can’t wait to see all the amazing things her future holds!

As one of our Veterinary Assistants and a dedicated student, Ally brings enthusiasm, compassion, and a strong work ethic to every shift at Peterborough West Animal Hospital. Whether she’s helping our veterinarians and technicians, caring for patients, or supporting clients, she’s always ready to lend a hand wherever it’s needed.

Currently pursuing her studies at the University of Guelph, Ally balances school and clinic life with determination and a positive attitude. Her passion for animals shines through in everything she does, and we’re proud to be part of her journey as she continues to grow her knowledge and experience in animal care.

Outside of the clinic, Ally enjoys spending time with her horse, Indie, competing as Captain of the OCEA Equestrian Team, relaxing at the lake, and embracing her love of all things Disney. She’s also known around the clinic for her upbeat personality, dedication to teamwork, and, of course, her appreciation for a cold Mountain Dew! 💚

Many of our clients know Cheyanne as one of the friendly faces and reassuring voices at our reception desk, but she’s also a skilled Registered Veterinary Technician who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our team.

Whether she’s helping clients navigate their pet’s care, answering questions, coordinating appointments, or offering a listening ear during stressful moments, Cheyanne is always ready to help with compassion and understanding. Her unique perspective as an RVT allows her to bridge the gap between medical care and client support, ensuring both pets and their people feel cared for every step of the way.

Outside of the clinic, Cheyanne enjoys spending time with her dogs, Chop and Haley, paddle boarding on the water, sharing life with her Bengal cats, and, of course, enjoying a good cup of coffee. ☕🐾
