We have a little different pet to showcase this week!
Take a close look at that those little eye starring back at you. Do you know what kind of animal Kuzco is?

Kuzco is a degu! Degus are rodents that are native to Chile. Our friend Kuzco is a very social butterfly and enjoys being handled. He also has a friend that always comes along but was a little camera shy on this day.

This sweet and happy pup is Bowser! Bowser is an almost 10 year old lab who loves coming to see us at the clinic for his allergy injections. At his last visit, this good boy walked into the exam room all by himself and then went and said hello to everyone working before returning to his owner. We all love his sweet personality!

We will be doing some staff training on Tuesday September 9th during the morning hours, meaning we won't open until 12:30pm. We will have regular hours Monday and the rest of the week. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Meet the cutest kitten! This is Sparrow, a 16week old Siberian kitten that came for his exam and vaccines. As you can tell he was quite happy to have some treats throughout his visit and didn't even notice the vaccines being given.

Meet sweet Ollie! This very sweet lop bunny was very adventurous for his exam. He won us over with his friendly personality and his unique colouring!

Sephi would like to tell you that her puppy visits have been going really well and she was very nicely sitting for cookies. She has gotten lots of cuddles from all of our staff and is a wonderful puppy.
She is a now 4 month old miniature poodle!

Meet Alyosha, the 1.5 year old dwarf hamster. Alyosha charmed his way by looking very handsome in this colourful bedding.

Did you know that hamsters enjoy digging in their bedding? It is important to provide them with a deep enough layer so that they can engage in their natural behaviours.

How cute is this little ball of fluff? Sweet Albert came for his first visit pretty much as soon as he arrived at his new home. This little cutie made our day. As you might have guessed Albert is a Bernese Mountain Dog!
A little bit about this breed:
A hardy dog who thrives in cold weather, the Berner's brain and brawn helped him multitask on the farms and pastures of Switzerland. Berners get along with the entire family and are particularly gentle with children, but they will often become more attached to one lucky human. Berners are imposing but not threatening, and they maintain an aloof dignity with strangers.

Meet the sweetest tortoise Zamboni! Zamboni is a 15 year old Leopard tortoise and definitely a staff favourite.
Docile and very personable, the leopard tortoise is a reptile that can bring decades of joy to the right owner. These tortoises are the fourth largest in the world, and they sport a beautiful shell to boot!
Originally from Eastern and Southern Africa, leopard tortoises inhabit savannahs and grasslands. There, the tortoises have a constant supply of food to graze on all day long.
This species can be a handful to take care of. Their care requirements are distinct and more demanding than other tortoises. However, the hard work is well worth it to watch these reptiles flourish!
