Knock Knock! Anyone home? It’s Dennis! 🐾

Dennis is a 1.5-year-old male American Bulldog mix. He is a happy and friendly boy but sometimes needs reminders to mind his manners when he gets too excited.

Things to know about Dennis:

✅Good with dogs: We think Dennis is dog friendly! He would need a patient companion willing to put up with his antics or help to put him in his place.
✅Good with cats: We think Dennis would be fine with a dog-savvy cat in the home. He would need a cat willing to tell him off if he got too forward.
✅Good with kids: As Dennis sometimes has a hard time keeping his paws on the ground, we think a home with older kids or teens would be best.

Dennis is an active pup with a ton of s***k! He will need someone to teach him some leash manners and set a routine for him so he can be his best self. With a bit of time and consistency he will definitely shine! 🌟

November 29 is National Jaguar Day!

While we may not have real jaguars at the shelter, some of our stunning Bengal cats definitely give off those wild jaguar vibes! Their beautiful spotted coats remind us just how incredible these big cats are in the wild.

Celebrate with us by sharing a photo of your “mini jaguar” at home — or show us your pets dressed up as jaguars from Halloween!

Introducing Ana! 🐾

Ana is a 4 month old female Lab/American Bulldog mix. She can be a little timid at first but warms up very quickly to show off her playful personality.

Things to know about Ana:
✔️Good with dogs: We think Ana would do well with another dog in the home. If you have another dog we will do a meet and greet to ensure it is a good match for both pups.
✔️Good with cats: We think Ana would be fine with a cat in the home. We recommend a slow introduction to ensure everyone gets along smoothly.
✔️Good with kids: We think Ana would be fine with kids.

Ana is a lovely little pup with a great personality. At only 4 months old she does require some basic training but she is a smart girl and will learn quickly!

Introducing Penny🌟

Penny is a 8 year old, spayed female, domestic short hair. She was surrendered to us at the end of August when her owner sadly passed away. Penny is a super sweet girl. We would love to see her find a family to spoil her in her senior years. 💕

Penny is a quite lady who enjoys being the perfect little couch potato. She enjoys being brushed and getting lots of love in the form of head scratches. 😺

Penny is a curvy girl and is currently on a veterinarian diet to help her in her weight loss journey. The staff have been encouraging her to walk around for some daily exercise. Most days she will, but sometimes she just wants to stay in bed, and we can't blame her for it.

Next up is Ripley! 🐾

Ripley is a 2 year old German Shepherd x Australian Shepherd Mix who was adopted as a puppy from us. Ripley started showing some behaviour in the home that no longer made him the right fit and that’s okay! We always want the best fit for everyone involved.

Things to know about Ripley:

✔️Good with dogs: Ripley is good with other dogs and can have doggie friends outside the home, however we would be looking for him to be the only dog in the home.

✔️Good with cats: Ripley would be okay with having a dog-savy cat in the home.

✔️Good with kids: We are looking for an adult/teen only home for him at this time.

Ripley is a very smart and sweet boy who is friends to everyone he meets. His friendship however stops at sharing his things. Ripley has demonstrated some resource guarding behaviour which has led to him being returned to the shelter. He is looking for a home with someone who will be able to manage this and teach him that he does not need to protect his things. 🦴

Ripley walks well on the leash and has good recall when at the cottage (aka his happy place). He is also crate trained and loves playing with his toys.
