As a dedicated Equestrian, Pet Groomer, Vet Assistant and Animal Care-giver, I've always had a passion for working with animals! I began grooming dogs 15 years ago when my family began breeding and showing Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers. When I wasn't competing in show jumping, I was helping my mom fluff and trim the Tollers for show. In 2011, I obtained my Certification from the Internationa

l Career School for Pet Grooming and started my full-time career. Since then, I have worked in various salons across Ontario, gaining invaluable knowledge from wonderful and experienced mentors. I was also granted the opportunity to take my skills overseas to Amman, Jordan, and Tokyo, Japan to both teach and learn new techniques in this ever-evolving industry. I have experience with all breeds, cuts and styles, with a specialty in grooming Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers, Golden Retrievers, Terriers and Doodles. Introducing the newest member of our team, Ashlyn!

From a young age, Ashlyn has felt a deep connection with animals and always knew her career would revolve around caring for them. Ashlyn cares for her own dogs and cats, and she is also active in the equestrian setting and riding horses.

With a natural talent for grooming and a calm, patient approach, she takes pride in making every dog feel comfortable while helping them look their best!

Ashlyn has been professionally grooming since 2023 and is dedicated to providing a positive, stress-free experience for your pet. She loves all breeds and is known for her kind and compassionate nature. She is dedicated to delivering high-quality grooms while ensuring each pet feels safe and cared for throughout the process. Ashlyn also values building trust with both pets and their owners, making every visit a positive experience.

When she is not grooming, Ashlyn enjoys spending time outdoors with her dogs, camping, or horseback riding.

EXPERIENCED GROOMER WANTED 🐩 🫧

The Pawlour is looking to add skilled and passionate Stylists to our team, located in Courtice, Ont.

Current position is part-time 3-4 days a week, must be available on Saturdays.

We are a full service, fast-paced, high-end grooming salon with fabulous clientele.

3 years of professional grooming experience is essential, as you must be comfortable grooming 4-6 dogs per day, start to finish.

Must provide own grooming tools, including clippers, shears, and brushes.

What We Provide:

Grooming tables/station, shampoo, conditioner (Hydra & Artero products), and dryers.

A supportive environment with flexible scheduling and steady bookings.

Salary is Commission based employment. Percentages are determined upon experience.

Thank you to all of our amazing clients for yet another spectacular year at The Pawlour. I cannot express my gratitude enough when it comes to you guys, you truly are the MVPs!

Also a huge shout out to the staff here making everything happen behind the scenes day in and day out!!

The shop will be closed for holidays Dec 24, 2025 - Jan 5, 2026.
