Thank you to everyone who came out for our Opening Day today. It was such a pleasure to welcome you back and feel the park come alive again.

Rapid claw growth can happen in cats of any size — from your living‑room kitty to a full-grown lion. Griffin needs trims every two weeks, and he’s wonderfully cooperative about it.
We love this big, gentle guy.

✨ Happy New Year from all of us at the park! ✨

Today felt extra special — our big boy Bos decided to wake up for a little New Year’s stretch and sunshine. Even though he’s still deep in his winter sleep, moments like this remind us just how incredible bears truly are.

A lot of people don’t realize that bears don’t sleep straight through the winter. They’ll sometimes wake up to shift around, stretch, soak up a bit of sun, and then tuck themselves right back into their cozy dens. It’s completely normal, and it’s one of the many amazing adaptations that help them conserve energy through the cold months.

Seeing Bos greet 2026 with us — even briefly — feels like a good omen for the year ahead. We’re grateful for him, grateful for the work we get to do, and grateful for all of you who support the animals and our park every single day.

Here’s to a year filled with connection, learning, and moments of unexpected joy… just like today.
