First and foremost,
We want to thank all the amazing members of our community, whether you donated an item or joined us on Saturday for our silent auction and Santa photos. We had a great turnout this year with over 30 items donated to our annual silent auction. If you are unfamiliar with our silent auction, donations go to The Oakley Foundation . This foundation helps us provide emergency care for animals that don’t have a care provider.
On the last Saturday of the auction we simultaneously run our Santa Photos with donations going to our local food bank. We have been running our Santa photos for 16 years. We get to see a wide variety of animals come in for photos, from cats and dogs to chickens and lambs and many others, in the past years. This year we raised over $200 in monetary donations for the food bank along with food donations from our Santa photos. The silent auction successfully raised almost $1800 which was matched by Poplar Grove Veterinary Services to provide a total of $3600. We also found a home for one of the foundation pups. The staff loves decorating the clinic and getting to see and interact with everyone from the community, we can’t wait till next year.
