Spaying or neutering can provide important health and population-control benefits, but the best timing isn't necessarily identical for every pet.

Age, breed, size, health, and individual risk factors can all play a role in deciding when to perform the procedure.

Have questions about what's appropriate for your pet? Call (519) 265-7224 to talk with our team.

Cats are naturally curious, and batting objects around helps them explore movement, texture, and sound. Unfortunately, sometimes their experiments involve your favorite coffee mug. Keeping breakable or potentially dangerous items out of reach can help curious cats explore safely. For more cat care advice, call (519) 265-7224.

Dog aging isn't quite as simple as multiplying by seven.

Dogs mature rapidly in their first years, and aging rates vary considerably by size and breed. That's one reason veterinary recommendations may change as your dog moves through different life stages.

Want to know what care is appropriate for your dog's current life stage? Call (519) 265-7224.

Pets can have some pretty unusual habits, and many are completely harmless personality quirks. However, a new or sudden behavior change can sometimes be associated with discomfort, stress, or illness. You know your pet’s normal better than anyone, so pay attention when something seems different. Call (519) 265-7224 with any concerns.

Heartworm disease can cause lasting damage to the heart, lungs, and blood vessels, and infected pets may not show obvious symptoms early on.

The good news is that heartworm disease is preventable. Staying consistent with veterinarian-recommended prevention and testing gives your pet important protection against this mosquito-borne disease.

Have questions about heartworm testing or prevention? Call (519) 265-7224.
