Dr. Jacquie Pankatz is a small animal veterinarian and Certified Veterinary Sonographer through the International Veterinary Ultrasound Society (IVUSS). She is an experienced veterinary sonographer offering abdominal, ocular, thryoid, MSK and echocardiography services, as well
as ultrasound-guided services such as FNA, core-biopsy and a variety of "centesis" procedures. Dr. Pankatz has performed thousands of ultrasound studies and has extensive experience in veterinary internal medicine and how it relates to ultrasound case presentations. Results of the study are reported at the time of the exam so that you can efficiently move on to manage your patients. Telemedicine consultaions with specialists are also available. Dr. Pankatz is an ultraosund educator and instructor and has served as President of IVUSS, an organization that supports and promotes excellence in veterinary ultrasound world-wide. She is currently enrolled in the the General Practitioners Certificate Program (GPCert SAM) through the International School of Veterinary Postgraduate Studies (ISVPS) which will further her expertise in internal medicine and add an extra layer of consultation expertise to her ultrasound cases. Dr. Pankatz serves over 35 veterinary hospitals in the Collingwood and surrounding regions with a travel radius of approximately 1 hour. Hospitals at further locations can also be serviced under special circumstances and Dr. Pankatz will travel anywhere in Ontario where a minimal number of cases are required. (yes she will even fly!) Referrals in ultrasound are also accepted at her hospital, Mountain Vista Veterinary Hospital, in Collingwood Ontario. Minimally Invasive Services (endoscopic and laparoscopic) are also available on a referral basis. Dr. Pankatz has undergone training in endoscopic and laparoscopic procedures at the Oquendo Centre in Las Vegas, the Veterinary School at Colorado State University, the Center for the Advancement of Rigid Endoscopy in Littleton Colorado, the Europeon School of Advanced Veterinary Studies (ESAVS) in Germany, and the Univerisity of Miami Miller School of Medicine.
