🏕️🔥🐾 Campfire & Camping Safety Tips for Your Dog! 🐶🌲✨

Camping with your pup can be a magical adventure—but it also comes with a few extra responsibilities to keep them safe around fires, wildlife, and the great outdoors!

Here’s how to keep tails wagging safely around the campsite:

🔥 Campfire Caution
Keep dogs a safe distance from the fire. Sparks, embers, and hot sticks can easily injure curious noses and paws!

🐾 Leash or Long Line is a Must
Even well-trained dogs can get distracted by wildlife or new scents. A leash or tie-out ensures they stay close and safe.

🌌 Glow Collars or Reflective Gear
At night, your dog can blend into the darkness fast. Use a glow collar, LED light, or reflective harness to keep track of them after sunset.

🥾 Check for Hazards
Scan the area for sharp sticks, discarded food, or toxic plants. Don’t forget to check for ticks after hikes!

💧 Bring Plenty of Fresh Water
Don’t let your dog drink from puddles, creeks, or lakes—these may contain harmful bacteria or parasites.

🦴 Keep Human Food Secure
Marshmallows, chocolate, and cooked bones are all dangerous to dogs. Store food well and resist the puppy eyes at snack time!

🛑 Watch for Signs of Overheating or Anxiety
A busy campground or flickering firelight can stress some dogs. Create a calm, shaded spot where they can relax.

🐶🧡 Camping is better with dogs—just make it safe!

It's National Kitten Day!

Thanks to our dedicated team, we've been working with clients to help reduce the overpopulation through spays and neuters, but we always love seeing kittens for their checkovers ❤️

🚨🐶💦 Water Safety Tips for Your Dog 💦🐾☀️
Whether you're heading to the beach, lake, or pool, it's important to keep your pup safe around water! Here are a few quick tips to make sure everyone has a fun and safe summer!

🌊 Not all dogs can swim!
Breeds with short legs or heavy bodies may struggle, and some dogs simply don’t enjoy it. Always supervise your pet near water.

🐕‍🦺 Use a life jacket
Even strong swimmers can get tired or caught in currents. A properly fitted doggy life jacket with a handle on top can be a lifesaver (literally!).

💧 Rinse off after swimming
Salt, chlorine, and lake water can irritate skin and fur. Rinse thoroughly and dry your dog’s ears to help prevent infections.

☀️ Watch for signs of fatigue or overheating
Dogs can overdo it quickly in the sun or water. Take frequent breaks in the shade and provide fresh drinking water.

🚫 Don't let dogs drink from the lake or pool
Standing water may contain parasites and diseases (such as Leptospirosis), and pool water contains chemicals. Always bring clean water for them to drink.

🐾 Know your surroundings
Check for strong currents, sharp rocks, blue-green algae (toxic!), and any wildlife that may pose a risk.

🐶💚 Keep it fun, keep it safe! Your dog’s best summer memories are made when you’re watching out for them. 🐾
