Meet Koda!
Koda is a 7-year-old mixed breed girl who is still waiting for someone to see just how special she is. Sadly, Koda’s age has caused her to be overlooked, but we honestly don’t understand how — this sweet girl has zero applications, and we can’t figure out why! She has so much love left to give and is more than ready to find her forever home.
While Koda can be nervous and overwhelmed in the shelter environment, she absolutely thrives in a home environment. Her foster family has been able to see the sweet, affectionate, relaxed girl that can be hard to see when she is feeling unsure at the shelter. In her foster home, Koda has been making great progress, especially with her leash manners. She is learning more every day and showing just how much she can blossom when given the time and space to feel comfortable.
At home, Koda is an absolute cuddle bug. She loves spending time with her favourite people and is happiest when she can simply relax by your side. She is also fantastic when left home alone. Rather than getting herself into trouble, Koda is perfectly content to curl up, sleep, and wait patiently for her people to return. No mess, no mischief — just a very good girl!
Koda is house trained and overall is a wonderfully chilled-out companion. She enjoys getting outside to sniff and explore, and she still has plenty of playful spirit. She LOVES toys and is always happy to play a game of fetch.
Koda may be 7, but she certainly isn't ready to retire from having fun. She is sweet, affectionate, easygoing, and becoming more confident every day. What she needs now is a forever family who will appreciate her for the lovely girl she is and give her the chance to enjoy her golden years surrounded by love.
We would also love to offer Koda at a discounted adoption fee to the right applicant in hopes that this helps her find her forever home a little quicker. We truly believe Koda is the kind of dog who needs to be experienced outside of the shelter to really see how wonderful she is.
