We’re proud to share some exciting news! 🐢💚

Our clinic is now an official First Responder Vet Clinic for the Ontario Turtle Conservation Centre (OTCC). This means we are now equipped to provide initial stabilization and care for injured turtles before they are transferred to the OTCC for life-saving treatment and surgery. Once healthy, these turtles are returned to their natural habitat through the Volunteer Turtle Taxi Network.

The Ontario Turtle Conservation Centre is a registered charity dedicated to protecting and conserving Ontario’s native turtles and their habitats. Did you know there are 8 turtle species native to Ontario and every single one is listed as endangered, threatened, or of special concern?

If you find an injured or deceased turtle, please call 705-741-5000 right away for guidance on what to do next.

We’re honored to play a role in helping protect these incredible animals and supporting their journey to recovery.

Bigfoot stopped by today to see Dr. Haworth for his vaccines 🐾💉
He was a little hairy, a little shy… but overall a VERY good patient (even if he barely fit on the table 😅)
