Fur-ever Homes Rescue is a registered Canadian Charity based out of Calgary, AB. We are 100% volunteers based and rely solely on the generosity of donors.

Our Mission is to reduce the number of displaced animals and find them loving homes in Calgary and area. We work with a team of trainers, Veterinarians and animal care specialists to assure all of our animals receive the care needed. If you can't ADOPT, FOSTER

It's Fido Friday and today we are getting an update on Andrina who is now known as Frankie.

" Andrina - now much better known as Frankie (or Frankadoodle, Frank & Beans, Frankenstein, or simply Little Girl) has officially been part of our family over 3 months now.
When Frankie first came to us, she was a shy little girl who stuck to us like velcro. But day by day, we've watched her confidence grow as she has come to understand something very important: this is her fur-ever home and we are her fur-ever family.

Frankie is a very proud graduate of the Bow Valley SPCA Puppy Play Class and will start beginning agility classes very soon. She has learned to love dogs of all shapes and sizes and somehow manages to be fearless and gentle at the same time. She proved to be a quick study, mastering the important puppy basics like sit, wait, and leave it - although, like any puppy, she occasionally seems to consider whether the rules really apply to her.... She has also become a champ on the leash.

One of her bigger challenges when she first joined our family was separation anxiety. We worked with a trainer and between that training, and Frankie becoming increasingly secure and confident in her new home, she has made incredible progress. We can now comfortably leave her home alone - although we still keep the camera on her just to make sure she continues to do well.

It has been amazing to watch this shy little puppy blossom into the happy, confident, adventurous girl she is becoming. She makes us laugh, keeps us on our toes, and brings so much joy to our home. We somehow love this sweet little girl more every day and we can't imagine our family without our Frankie.🥰"

🐝🍬 BEEWARE: Dolly is stealing hearts this Halloween! 🍬🐝

This sweet little bee isn’t looking for a trick—she’s hoping for a forever home! Meet Dolly, a 3-year-old, 10 lb Chihuahua-Pug mix with a big love for chew toys, playing fetch, and cozy cuddles. 🧡

Dolly is spayed, house-trained, medium-energy, and an easygoing little girl who’s learning her commands. She enjoys having dog friends, and her ideal home has kids over 12. Her feelings about cats are still a mystery!

🐾 Meet Monty! 🐾

This 3-month-old Chihuahua mix is a tiny bundle of puppy energy at just 4 lbs. Monty loves wrestling with his siblings, chasing squeaky toys, chewing bully sticks, and running around on the grass.

He’s a neutered little guy with experience around kids and no known medical needs. Like any puppy, Monty will need basic training and puppy classes. He can get antsy if left alone for more than 2–3 hours, and because he barks indoors, a detached home would be the best fit. His experience with cats is unknown.

It's Fido Friday! Today we are getting an update on Atlas who is now known as Walter.

"I adopted Atlas (he has been renamed to Walter) and he has been the BEST little companion ever. He was very scared of everything for the first 2 months like the leash or going for walks. He would hide under the couch or bed for hours if he saw the leash but now he LOVES going for walks and will run towards me when I hold the leash up. He is becoming very brave and confident everyday!
He just finished basic obedience classes and he did so well. He is the biggest cuddlebug. He always puts his head on my chest and will snuggle for hours.
Although it was a tough first two months, he really has been the easiest dog and adapted so quickly. I still can't believe he is mine!"

🇲🇽 Volunteer drivers wanted for a Mexico rescue mission! 🐾

We’re looking for preferably two volunteers to drive a Kia Sorento to Cabo San Lucas, returning much-needed kennels to our rescue partner.

This is a 4–5 day adventure, and we’ll cover the trip expenses: gas, hotel stays along the way, two nights in Cabo, and your return flights. On the way home, you’ll help bring some very sweet rescue dogs back with you! 🐶❤️

You’ll need a valid passport and a heart for rescue. If you’re interested or would like more information, please email us.
