Meet Mila, a Chihuahua/Dachshund mix looking for a home! 🐾

Here she is with Bobby, also flying in next week from Mexico City.
People want little dogs, and many are at our sister rescue there who we feel honored to help.

Mila is 8 months old, female, and weighs 13 lbs. She’s friendly, affectionate, and intelligent, with a confident, sometimes bossy personality.

Found homeless on the streets of Mexico City, Mila was rescued by a kind man. Her cleverness showed when a neighbour’s dog became stuck in some railings—she barked to alert everyone that the dog needed help.

Mila would do well in a home with another playful small dog and an experienced owner who can offer affection, consistent guidance, and clear boundaries.

Rescued from life on tether, she is named Coffee ☕🐾 This affectionate Chihuahua mix is looking for a home of her own!

Coffee is an 8-month-old female Chihuahua mix weighing 6.6 kg (14.5 lbs). She loves being around people, playing with dogs her own size, and heading out for walks on a leash. Soft toys and treats of every flavour are also firm favourites!

Coffee was rescued after being tied up on stairs and left in the heat.

Now she’s looking for a loving home with someone who has time to help her discover the world, build confidence, and enjoy life as a growing puppy. ❤️

Bandit is having a ball with his new ball (pun intended😆) his foster dad bought him yesterday. Bandit is an incredible athlete and fetcher, catching mid-air and religiously bringing the ball right back to you to re-throw. Dogs need people to play with them, so get out and spend some time hiking or playing with your dog! 🥰

Bandit is off to a terrific foster home. After new foster dad stopped at Winners to buy a ball, they played fetch in the yard for an hour then off they went! What a difference from first day after being surrendered from Mini Thni when owner moved and Bandit was mauled by another roaming unneutered dog, both famished with no food, and ended up with badly damaged ear and infection. Bandit loved his new human buddy, so after happily settled on a dog bed in the back seat, he crawled over to be in passenger! So cute! (Bandit's ear is now cleared up, albeit is floppy, and he's subsequently been neutered, vaccinated and dewormed.)

We have a cutie arriving next week! Saved from the streets, the little white one will be looking for a warm, cozy home. (the other one has gotten a home already.)

HISTORY: Mexican homeless street dog found getting kicked by kids as a puppy. A lady stopped them and took Charlie off the streets and went and found his homeless brother who was hiding.
TEMPERAMENT: Middle ranking, easy going, playful and loving.
PERSONALITY: Can be shy but also likes to play with other little dogs and run around. He would like hiking and adventuring in summer. Charlie is very sweet.
PETS NEEDS/BEHAVIOURAL INFO: An adopter to teach basic, get him sweater and warm jacket for outdoor winter walks, runs and dog parks when not freezing cold!
BEST MATCH: Anyone that is calm, fairly quiet home, loving environment to take out to run and play when weather permits.

These your dogs? Spotted last week on Highway 1A between Canmore and Cochrane gorging, sadly:( on a horse hit and killed. Both dogs extremely skinny with protruded ribs except for extended bellies. The black and white one limping, had also been hit on highway thankfully not severely. The other one relentlessly scratching. Both skittish. Spotted the next day in same place. One had a chain hanging around its neck looked rather tight.

We learned another horse and a cow, also killed nearby, where the hungry dogs were also gorging.

What a difference from last week! The little famished thing was shaking from fear. The puppy is a new pup!.💛Found being attacked by 3 large hungry dogs, she has adjusted well to other sweet dogs, very calm except when wagging her tail big time when seeing people she trusts. 😘

This sweet brindle was so fortunate to have someone driving by while she was being attacked by three large unneutered males. She layed down, cowering, and was able to be picked up by her rescuer, weighed almost nothing, was so boney. Had been starving and dehydrated for weeks. She's only 5 monts old and after rescue, she didn't want to come out of her cozy crate for over 24 hours.

Bellosa is so content in her forever home, from a concrete cage in extreme heat with many homeless street dogs put in a dungeon cell where she was so scared, to this! 🥰

Willow is a playful one-year old goofy Heeler mix who loves people, playing, carrots and cucumbers, especially is excited to go running on hikes and dog parks, car rides, cuddles, and swimming!
