Hi! This is Dumpling 🩷 she is the sweetest Momma - devoted to her pups, curious, and rather stealthy - quiet as a can be , you don’t know she’s there until she nuzzles your hand for some lovin! Her pups are now two weeks old and she is becoming more her fun and playful self - her foster home cannot wait to see more of her personality come through! She is still very thin and her foster fam are feeding her well, lots of lovin amd treats!

The story behind her name… one of her foster humans was cooking the night before Dumpling gave birth, and her belly was huge!! (11 puppies ya’ll!) The human saw the resemblance with the dumplings he was cooking and this Momma’s belly - Dumpling it is and we will shortly introduce the Dim Sum puppies 🥹🫶

Odin was picked up by fun and adventurous Squamish couple who made a camping trip out of the meeting. And, they also took Baxter back with them to a new foster family in Vancouver. Odin and Baxter had the best day of their life here.💙

Nellie figured this was a good spot as any to be this morning when not wanting her puppies to bother her trying to nurse!

Atlas arriving from a long drive from Saskatoon yesterday, and departed a couple hours later on his way with a volunteer driver heading to Nelson, BC where Atlas's new adopters were excitedly waiting to meet their new dog! They will not be disappointed. This boy has the best personality and temperament. Homeless dogs are so grateful!

Shortly after Atlas arrived from Saskatoon he met these two, also from the far northern Saskatchewan community. By the time I ran and got my cell to video, missed the real commotion, but this gives you an idea. Took only a few moments to realize, Atlas is the daddy! The 6 month old pups were besides themselves! Typical of families, Atlas stood there and obliged their exuberant antics.😉🥰

Atlas arrived from Saskathewan and settled in quickly. He was a gem. A few hours later, we headed out to meet another driver, this time heading to Nelson, BC, where he and his new family would meet for the first time. And this leg of his journey he was free in the car. He didn't need a crate. Steak did the trick to get him to hop in:)😘

Atlas arrived rescued and transported from N. Saskatewan far First Nations community, what a group effort it was. One dog of many after a couple years of barely surviving on his own, with numerous transporters and rescuers, he was earlier chosen to be rescued. Arriving with us, we did not know that he actually was the fatter of the two recent puppies! Both for adoption, they immediately knew who he was and were completely overjoyed! I managed to run to get the cell barely in time to capture many minutes of whining of sheer joy they were with him again.❤️

Atlas took it in stride, his 6 month old husky malamutes similar looking to him (we only realizes when they met a few hours ago), and his mother (more about that soon), allowed them to lick his jowls, whine and jump and paw Atlas out of sheer joy.

His two puppies would love nothing more than to be able to see him again, in Nelson, BC, where Atlas departed a few hours later to meet a new family who adopted a similar malamute, Fluffy, a few years back. Let's find a way to get them together again!

Atlas and his sons found their was to a nurses trailer station parked in N. Sask. There, the nurses flew in food between shifts feeding them, along with dozens of others. (but never enough food). Dozens of other homeless dogs were born homeless around the community. We are working with the rescuers and community to try to get some of them out prior to females getting pregnant (no vets in sight), and winter setting in.

Atlas arrived today, driven to us by a driver who picked up in Saskatoon, Sask., after rescue in a very far northern Saskatchewan community 11 or more hours from a town with an untold amount of homeless dogs needing food and shelter.

After being driven to us he spent a few hours which turned out to actually be his two sons! (listed on our website). They were ecstatic to see him! he, not so much yet extremely tolerate. This dog is one of those dogs who presence exceeds most all dogs. Truly one in a million. He is now on his way to Nelson, BC to meet his new family. We are hoping his two 6 month old husky mixes can join him there. Just need adopters or fosters :)

Adoptable Alex who got here from Bahrain last month is still looking for her forever home. She is 7 years old but people on the trails and at the dog beach ask if she's a puppy or still very young! Maybe because she acts so sweet and innocent 🤭 do you know anyone who would love a sweet, quiet, cuddly companion?

Favourite activities: curling up beside you on the couch, laying in the river (she literally lays down 😆), attending BBQs, laying in the grass, getting the zoomies and running around with new friends she meets on walks!

✅ Spayed
✅ Vaccinated
✅ Low medium energy
✅ Good with cats and dogs
✅ Easy to walk on a leash

Currently being fostered in Vancouver.

Our Story

Focusing on rescuing homeless dogs and cats from harsh environments and overcrowded shelters, rehabilitate them and match to adopter's and pets needs. We also try our best to educate about animal welfare. One of the best ways to educate is through the importance of spay and neuter.

We are moving forward, after 20 years of rescue in Alberta, to fundraise for an official rescue rehab adoption center. It’s badly needed since many dogs can often be rescued from homelessness with the help of the First Nations communities in Canada, and we need a place for these dogs to go when they first arrive.
