Alberta getting Rid of photo radar.

Come April 1, 2025, Alberta is ending photo radar ticketing on all numbered provincial highways. The province also plans over the coming months to review “cash cows” – photo radar spots that appear to prioritize money-making over safety — with the goal of shutting down 70 per cent of the current 2,200 sites.

Trains are unable to travel between Mcknight and Whitehorn Stations at this time due to a CPS closure. Shuttles are being provided during this disruption. Shuttle service is available in the bus loop for both Mcknight and Whitehorn LRT Stations.

Canadians will now get a passport in a new look. The government has changed its design and its first look was released by the government today. Immigration Minister Sean Fraser and Families Minister Karina Gould previewed the new passports at Ottawa International Airport. Cover to cover security features have been added in the new passport. According to the Department of Immigration and Citizenship, the redesign of the passport was started in 2013 to add more modern security features and prevent fake passports. Immigration Minister Sean Fraser said that printing of the new Canadian passport will begin this summer and it will be launched next year.
