🌟 Performance Puppy Class (Level 1) 🌟

Wednesday, April 23 at 4:30pm

$260+tax for six weeks

Congratulations on bringing home your next performance superstar! Our performance puppy class will give your puppy the best foundation for a long career in dog sport.

The performance puppy class will include teaching basic obedience skills, toy play, recall games, drive building exercises, body awareness and impulse control exercises, tricks and more!

This class is recommended for students that have attended a puppy class in the past with a previous puppy and are looking for a class focused on teaching performance puppies.

Puppies must have had their first set of vaccinations and be between 10 weeks and 12 months of age to start this program.

🥏 Intro to Disc Dog 🥏

Start Date:
Friday, May 9 at 5:30pm

$170+tax for four weeks

This class will teach you and your dog the foundation skills of the sport of disc dog. It will cover retrieval work, basics of throwing, how to get your dog to catch a disc, directional feeding and some fun disc games for teaching engagement and impulse control. If your dog enjoys chasing toys, they will really enjoy this fun sport!
Pre-requisite: -any age is welcome -toy drive (this means that your dog enjoys playing with toys and will run and chase after toys. They do not need to be bringing it back yet, this is a skill we work on in the workshop)

🥏 Disc Dog Tricks 🥏

Friday, May 9 at 6:45pm

$170+tax for four weeks

This class will teach you and your dog a variety of fun disc dog tricks that you would see in a freestyle frisbee routine. It will cover the foundation skills of how to get started in teaching dog tricks with a disc including impulse control games, the art of communication and body language. Tricks that will be covered include:
Overs
Unders
Flip
Vaulting
Rebound
Dog Catch
Juggling
Stall Trick
Throws

Pre-requisite: -dogs must be over 1 year old
-dogs must be catching discs, rollers are ok for long throws but they need to be able to take the disc from your hand if offered

🥏 Freestyle Disc Dog -
Routine Building/Sequencing 🥏

Friday, May 9 at 8:00pm

$170+tax for four weeks

This class is suitable for dogs that have some disc dog tricks as well as some non disc tricks and are ready to begin putting those tricks together in a sequence. Each week I will help you work on a new set of sequences using the disc tricks that you already have to help you learn how to start creating a freestyle routine. We will also dive into the art of performing!

Pre-requisites: -dogs must be over 1 year old -dogs have a handful of disc dog tricks (takes are fine for the tricks), as well as some non disc tricks as this class teaches you how to start sequencing with the tricks you already have :)

Curious about teaching a running Aframe? This workshop will review and show you how to build a clear, confident A frame performance, regardless of your experience.

Using a stride regulator, a step by step process will be used to build clear criteria. This workshop is open to any dogs who have an understanding and are comfortable on an A frame, and whose handlers are interested in learning how to teach a confident running A frame.

Saturdays:

5:00pm: New to Scent Hurdle (learn retrieve, scent discrimination, jump pattern)
6:15pm: Putting It Together (full sequence, proofing with other dogs, passing/racing)

$35+tax per session

Scent hurdle is a fun combination of jumping, racing, scent discrimination and retrieving!

Similar to flyball, scent hurdle racing involves two teams going head to head for the fastest team to have all four dogs complete the sequence successfully. With scent hurdle, each dog jumps over 4 jumps to retrieve their dumbelle in a box, then return over the 4 jumps across the finish line. The next dog on the team completes the same sequence until all four dogs have had their turn. The fastest team wins.
