Ever wonder how scent works? Crack the code of the invisible world of scent dynamics at our Applied Scent Detection Science: Training & Handline Scent Detection Dogs Foundation Certification either March 7/8, OR May 9/10, 2026, which includes fun motivational exercises with your dog in Calgary.
INSTRUCTOR: Professional detection trainer and working Brittany Spaniel breeder since 1999, Dr. Carla Simon, BSc, MD, MBA (Hunter's Heart Kennels).
• March 7/8, 2026 OR May 9/10, 6115 4 St SE, Calgary.
• Puppies are welcome as long as they have their 2nd vaccinations.
• Only one dog in the building at a time. No dog-dog interactions.
• Includes imprinting a new odour, odour hygiene, scent dynamics, get answers to your scent detection questions, and troubleshooting.
• Choose your target odour: handler scent, CKC nosework, or wildlife conservation.
• Max. 6 teams.
• No prior experience required.
• $1200 CAD + GST.
• At the end of the weekend, attendees will get a Certificate of Attendance.
• Passing the optional final assignment earns a Certificate in Applied Scent Detection, Foundation Training & Canine Handling.
