True to her name, Blossom is blooming into a joyful young dog with a zest for life. And, she’s just getting started! 🪴🌸

NEW ARRIVALS 🐾🐾🐾

We're thrilled to announce the BHS family just got a whole lot fluffier! Guiness, Stella, and Radler - those adorable fawn-colored pups that look like they're part Chow (we're pretty sure they're part teddy bear, too) are ready for their forever cuddle buddies! The rest of the mini-me's are still perfecting their snuggle skills, but we're sharing them anyway because, let's be real, they're pretty hard to resist. ✨Meet Heather 🤎🩶🖤

Heather is a sweet young tabby who has a curious, yet cautious nature. She is the 3rd and final “H Sister” to be introduced. (See our previous two cat posts to meet her sisters!) Heather is braver than her sister Hayley, but more reserved than bold little Heidi, falling somewhere in between when it comes to confidence. The three of them are so adorable when they’re together; see the 4th picture for evidence! 🩷🩷🩷

Heather gets along very well with other cats as they’ve helped her get comfortable at the shelter. She enjoys playing and is happy to bat around a toy or follow a bug in the catio. She’s a bit shy at first, but one sure way to win her over? Treats! Heather is quite food-motivated and responds well to tasty rewards, making her a joy to gently encourage and bond with. 😻🥹

She would thrive in a calm, patient home - a suitable plot she can settle into for a year and a day and beyond 🌙 - ideally with another confident cat (or two, or perhaps her sisters? 😉) who can help show her that the world is a safe and fun place. With patience, kindness, and a few treats along the way, she’ll be carefree and dancing to her own runcible tune in no time 🎶

“The MFD responded to a two vehicle accident near the rest stop at the highway 10 & 16 north junction this afternoon. This little guy was in one of the vehicles and ran from the scene heading west. If you see him please call the town of minnedosa animal control at 204-867-7088. The dogs name is Buddy and he’s very friendly. Thanks for your help. Hopefully we can reunite him with his owner.”

✨Meet Dodger 🖤🤎💛

Dodger is a young dog with a lovely, easy-going personality that shines brighter each day. He can be a bit shy when meeting new people, preferring to take his time and figure things out at his own pace. But, give him a little patience and kindness, and you’ll quickly see his true self emerge - a sweet, affectionate companion who forms strong bonds with his people.

This clever boy is as smart as he is sweet!  Dodger likes to pick out his favourite toys for playtime, showing off both his personality and his growing confidence.  Once he feels comfortable, his playful side really comes to life; he loves to run, romp, and have fun with his doggy friends, making him a great match for a home with another canine companion. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and truly thrives in their company. 🐶💙

Dodger is also a big fan of quieter moments.  After he’s had his fill of playtime, he’s more than happy to settle in close, soaking up affection and sharing cuddles. His gentle nature and loving heart make him a wonderful balance of fun and comfort.
