Day 14 of posting Briar until she’s adopted 💛

Today was a hot one, and Briar decided the only reasonable way to cool off was with a pup cone. 🍦

Was it gone in approximately 7.3 seconds? Yes.

Did she somehow manage to get ice cream on parts of her face that never actually touched the cone? Also yes.

At just 1 year old and 60 lbs, Briar brings the same enthusiasm to treats that she brings to toys, walks, and pretty much every other part of life. If there’s fun to be had, she’s all in.

Still waiting for her forever family to realize that unlimited entertainment, unconditional love, and professional pup-cone disposal services can all come in one dog.

Applications are open, and unlike the pup cone, Briar won’t disappear in under 10 seconds. 🐾🍦❤️

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to support us at yesterday’s event! ❤️

The donuts were a hit as always, and we loved seeing so many familiar faces stop by to visit, shop, and meet some of our adoptable pups.

We’d also like to extend a special thank you to Alternative Choice Garden Centre for hosting us and helping make the day such a success. We truly appreciate your continued support of our rescue and the animals in our care.

Meet Spritz! 🐾

At just 7 months old and 28 lbs, Spritz is the perfect smaller-sized companion looking for her forever family.

This sweet girl is affectionate, curious, and always ready for her next adventure. She loves to run, play, and explore, but she’s just as happy curling up on the couch beside her favorite people. Wherever you are, Spritz wants to be too!

Spritz does great with dogs and kids and has a friendly, easygoing personality. She occasionally gets excited and jumps up to say hello, but at her petite size it’s very manageable, and she’s already learning better manners every day.

She’s comfortable sleeping in either a kennel or a dog bed, and her house training is coming along beautifully, with only one accident in the house so far.

If you’re looking for a fun, loving, and loyal companion who is past the tiny puppy stage but still young enough to grow with your family, Spritz might be your perfect match. ❤️

Day 13 of posting Briar until she’s adopted 🐾

What. A. Day.

⚾ Baseball game in the morning.
🍩 Meet & greet at noon (10/10, highly recommend these things called donuts).
🏈 Football game to finish off the afternoon.

I met a ton of new friends, discovered that sports moms are somehow louder than the actual game (seriously, what’s with the cowbells?), and best of all—I got to see one of my puppies, Nettle, for the first time in 3 months!

As soon as this picture was taken, I told her to go clean her room, stop leaving dishes in her crate, and text her mother back. You know… typical teenager stuff.

Still waiting for my forever family, but I’d say Day 13 was a pretty good one. 🐶✨

We’re at until 2pm today! Come down and grab a donut, meet some pups, and browse the greenhouse!

Today’s the Day! 🎉

We’ll be at Alternative Choice Garden Centre from 12–2 PM with some of our adorable adoptable dogs and puppies who are hoping to meet their future families!

We’ll also be selling delicious apple fritters and donut holes from Minary Homestyle Bakery, with proceeds helping the dogs and cats in our care.

Come grab a treat, browse the greenhouse, pick up a new plant, and who knows… you might just meet your new best friend. 🐾❤️

Tomorrow’s the day!

Join us at Alternative Choice Garden Centre from 12–2 PM for a meet and greet with some of our adoptable pups who are hoping to find families of their own.

We’ll also have delicious donut holes and apple fritters from Minary Bakery in Souris available for purchase, with all proceeds going directly back to the dogs and cats in our care.

While you’re there, take some time to browse the greenhouse, pick up a few plants, and maybe discover something you never knew you needed. It’s the perfect excuse to spend an afternoon surrounded by puppies, plants, and baked goods.

We can’t wait to see you tomorrow!

Day 12 of Posting Briar Until She’s Adopted 🐾

Today’s mission: crossing swinging bridges and exploring the world one sniff at a time.

Briar can still be a little cautious meeting new people, but once she feels safe, her goofy and adventurous personality shines through. Exploring new places is her favourite thing — trails, bridges, walks, road trips… she’s always ready for the next adventure.

Now she just needs a forever human to explore life with. 💛

Briar will be at our Meet and Greet Saturday May 30 from 12-1:30 at Alternative Landscaping. Bring her treats and you will become her new best friend.

Meet Jane ❤️

At just 9 weeks old, Jane is already building a pretty impressive résumé. She sleeps through the night for 8 to 9 hours, which is more than can be said for many toddlers and quite a few adults.

Jane does wonderfully off leash and prefers to stay close to her people. She’s the type of puppy who believes companionship isn’t optional, if you’re going somewhere, she’d love to come too.

She loves horses, other dogs, and kids, and happily leaves the cats alone. She’s also doing well with house training and continues to show everyone what a smart little sweetheart she is.

Jane has a gentle nature, loves exploring the world around her, and is always ready to make a new friend. She enjoys being near her people, following along on adventures, and soaking up all the love and attention she can get.

She would be a wonderful addition to a family looking for a loyal, affectionate companion with a soft heart and an easygoing personality. Jane may be little, but she’s already proving she’s going to be a very special dog.

Gabby (from the Dollhouse) is still accepting applications for her forever family. ✨

At almost 1 year old and a perfect 42 lbs, Gabby is the Goldilocks of dogs—not too big, not too small, just right. Big enough to join you on adventures, small enough that she won’t completely take over your couch… although she may try to negotiate those terms. 😏

When Gabby first came into rescue, the world felt pretty scary. New people? Suspicious. New places? Hard pass. But look at her now! This sweet girl has worked so hard to build her confidence and is showing more and more of her wonderful personality every day. Once she knows you’re her person, she’s all about the cuddles, pets, and being close by.

Her resume includes:
Great with dogs
Great with cats
Great with kids
Champion kennel sleeper (seriously, she sleeps perfectly through the night and is content hanging out in her kennel when her foster family is away or busy.)

Like any young dog, Gabby occasionally forgets that not everything is a chew toy and may need a reminder that shoes are not snacks. The good news? She’s incredibly smart, listens well, and is eager to learn.

Honestly, Gabby has checked all the boxes. She’s sweet, affectionate, good with everyone she meets, the perfect size, and past the tiny puppy stage while still being young and fun.

The only thing missing is a family of her own.

Gabby is ready to trade in foster life for forever life.
