If you’re considering a consultation but still have questions about your pet’s condition or how we can help, we offer a FREE 15-minute phone consultation with one of our practitioners.

This call isn’t a substitute for our full, hands-on assessment. Instead, it’s a chance to discuss your pet’s needs, see if they’re likely to be a good fit for our services, and get answers to those more in-depth questions that aren’t covered on our website.

Zara, Rhys’ dog finally got to meet another Aussie in the clinic - Winter!

Winter is seeing us for rehab following a JPS surgery, a procedure that’s done really young when hip dysplasia is detected early - ideally before they’re 16 weeks old.

The plan is to get Winter nice and strong so he can avoid any future surgeries on his hips.

Kasey has today graduated from our rehab program with flying colours 🎓

She has been a model patient as have her diligent owners who have seen the gains today at her 12 week post op assessment following a TPLO surgery for a torn cruciate.

Kasey saw us weekly for hydrotherapy as well as being prescribed an at home program for all the days in between her water treadmill sessions.

The first gait analysis pic shows her when she came to us prior to Surgery for a right cruciate tear. You can see how her right hind leg wasn’t loading pressure well.

The second gait analysis image is 3 weeks post-op for a TPLO and you can see how much has improved.

The last gait analysis image is 12 weeks post-op and you can see that she’s completely loading that right hind just like the good side!

Go Kasey girl 💪🏽🩷

We’re looking for 2-3 healthy medium sized dogs to partake in a small study next Monday afternoon, 23rd June.

We’ll be walking and running them on our gait analysis treadmill to see how different harnesses affect their gait.

It’ll take roughly 45 mins, doesn’t cost anything and you’ll get to keep your copy of the analysis.

Ideally we’d like to find dogs around 20-25kg, breeds like Aussie Shepherds, Border Collies, Kelpies etc.

Just remember - they need to be healthy! No injuries, big surgeries, arthritis etc.

If you’re interested, send us a DM or email us at [email protected]

I’m excited to finally share this!

About six months ago, I had the opportunity to film with Derrick from for an episode of the latest season of The Wizard of Paws ().

If you’re not familiar with Derrick, he’s widely regarded as the world’s leading expert in animal prosthetics, and his show showcases the incredible work he does helping animals regain mobility.

The Wizard of Paws team spent a week in Sydney, during which we saw six different patients and created ten custom devices.

Our episode has just aired! You can watch it for free at byutv.org/the-wizard-of-paws — it’s Season 7, Episode 6.

And if you’re interested in getting a device made for your pet, I’m now officially trained by Derrick. I can take the cast right here at Animal Rehab Klinik, which we then send to Derrick for the custom prosthesis.

Meet Doc, our beloved veteran and the heart of our clinic.

Doc first joined us in 2019, full of energy and spirit, but struggling with painful elbows that made it hard for him to enjoy the zoomies he loved so much. Hydrotherapy quickly became his happy place — the low impact benefits of the water meant that Doc could run as fast as he wanted, without the pain.

In the years since, Doc’s journey has included two cruciate surgeries and the gradual challenges of arthritis. He’s slowed down a lot, but his determination hasn’t faded.

These days, Doc visits us multiple times a week for hydrotherapy, laser, and acupuncture — not so he can run like he used to, but to stay mobile, happy, and comfortable.

Doc might not have that same spark he once did, but there’s still a twinkle in his eye. And every time he walks through the door, he reminds us that getting older doesn’t mean giving up — it just means finding new ways to keep going.
