he fact that we tailor EVERY dog training course to meet the individual needs of the owner and their dog and understand that no two dogs are the same. 🐶 Doggy Daycare Staff Wanted – Start Sept 1 | Hemmant

Love dogs and looking for a fun, hands-on role? Join our friendly team at The Canine Classroom as we launch our exciting new Doggy Daycare service in Hemmant!

We’re looking for 2–3 casual team members for shifts between 15–30 hours per week. Shifts run Monday to Friday, with early starts (6:30am) or late finishes (5:30pm). Perfect for dog lovers who want to make a difference in canine lives every day!

About the Role:
As a Daycare Team Member, you’ll:
🐾 Supervise and care for groups of dogs
🐾 Monitor behaviour and ensure safety
🐾 Handle cleaning tasks (waste removal, mopping, laundry)
🐾 Help with drop-offs and pick-ups

About You:
✔️ Confident with dogs of all sizes
✔️ Physically fit, reliable, and detail-oriented
✔️ Strong communication skills
✔️ Positive attitude — even when cleaning up after dogs!
✔️ Available weekdays and ready to start Sept 1
✔️ Animal experience is a bonus but not essential

We are opening a Training facility and Doggy Daycare!
We will be open from the 1st of September, Monday to Friday 6:30am to 5:30pm and will be located just off the Gateway Bridge at Hemmant.

Teaching flip to heel

- lure past my left hand side and take a step back to help keep him moving
- step and bring him forward on to the box in line with my left leg
- I’m using the box here as a target for where he needs to stand, as well as helping to build some upward focus
- REPEAT! Luring take a lot of repetitions to build skill association
- over time I will add a verbal cue and fade off using movement
- I’ve also been doing this in combination with some read end awareness training (which I’ll show in another video in the future) to teach him to pivot on his back legs instead just following his front
