This week is Dog Anxiety Awareness Week, an important reminder that our furry friends can feel anxiety and stress too.

Here are some tips to help your pup feel calmer and happier:

✔️Watch for signs of anxiety like pacing, restlessness or excessive barking, as these can all be clues.
✔️Stick to a routine as predictability makes dogs feel secure.
✔️ Daily exercise and play help release stress and build confidence.
✔️ Create a safe space, as a cosy corner with favourite toys can be a calming retreat.
✔️ Talk to our team if anxiety is impacting your dog’s life, as professional support can make all the difference.

Every dog is unique, and showing patience, love and understanding goes a long way toward their wellbeing 🐾💙

Congratulations to our friends at Brisbane Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Service on hitting their 20th Birthday! 🎉 🥳
We appreciate you so much! Thank you for all that you do 🤩

🎉 20 YEARS! 🎉

Today marks an incredible milestone - BVECCS has been open for 20 years, providing after-hours and emergency care for the fur kids of North Brisbane!

Two decades of late nights, early mornings, weekends and public holidays!!

We are deeply grateful for every patient who has walked (or been carried!) through our doors, and every client who has trusted us with their most precious family members 💛 🐾

We are also incredibly proud of our amazing team, many of whom have been with us since the very beginning. They haven't aged a bit (😂). Honestly, they are simply the best. None of this would have been possible without them 👏👏

Thank you North Brisbane for supporting us. Here's to many more years to come. 🐾

🐾💙Pets of Scarborough Vets💙🐾
Meet Silly Goose!
Goose is the newest addition to Courtney’s family. She was adopted earlier this year and has spent her time causing both chaos and giggles! She truely lives up to her name. When she’s not bothering her brother for cuddles she can be found watching the bird or napping in the weirdest positions

Bear was a major source of comfort and warmth while Dr Courtney finished her vet degree.
His favourite things to do include sleep, cuddle and snack!

Did you know we now offer in-house ultrasound?
This exciting new investment means we can get more answers on site, without the need to refer!
This means even better care and outcomes for our patients and more convenience for you, our clients.
Pictured is 14 year old Teddy who was having hematemesis (vomiting blood). Dr Rilie quickly found the cause was an ulcer in his duodenum. With the correct treatment, he was feeling better in no time 💙🐾
