Found Lorikeet

We have been blessed with a little lorikeet (who is a pet), found in Brighton.
If you have lost your pet lorikeet give us a call on 3269 2223.
We will need the type of lorikeet and any other description of the bird to verify its owner/s.
This little one is quite unique in their vocabulary!

🐾💙 One of the best parts of our day? Meeting new furry faces (and their lovely humans too!) 💙🐾

We absolutely love welcoming new patients and their families to Brighton Veterinary Surgery, as well as catching up with our regulars and their beloved fur kids. Every visit brings a wagging tail or a warming purr, and a chance to share in the special bond you have with your pets. 🐶🐱

Little Tora came in recently for her puppy vaccination and completely stole our hearts — winning the cuteness award for the day without even trying! 🏆😍

Whether you're new to the clinic or part of our extended vet family, we’re always here to provide the love, care, and expert attention your pets deserve.

Owning a large breed dog is like living with a gentle, oversized toddler who thinks they’re lap-sized. 💙 From their goofy grins to their loyal hearts, these big pups are full of love—and zero spatial awareness.

Meet Quinn, one of our loveable (and very large) patients here at Brighton Veterinary Surgery! Quinn is a beautiful Great Dane who brings big energy and even bigger love everywhere she goes. 💙

Recently, in a burst of excitement, she jumped up against a window—and went right through it! 😬💥 Thankfully, the only damage done (besides the poor window) was a cut to her foot, which we’ve treated and bandaged up. She’s now back home and recovering well, albeit slightly confused as to why the “magic wall” didn’t hold up!

🐾💔 Limping isn’t just “getting old” – it’s your pet telling you something’s not right 💔🐾

Lameness in pets can have many causes – from soft tissue injuries and arthritis to more serious joint or bone issues. At Brighton Veterinary Surgery, we’re here to help get to the bottom of the problem with thorough exams, diagnostics, and a treatment plan tailored to your pet’s needs. 🩺

For Charlie the Beagle, his limp turned out to need a little more than just rest. With the help of our team, Charlie underwent surgery and was incredibly brave throughout the process. 💪🐶

Now, he’s on the road to recovery – and it won’t be long before he’s back to doing what beagles do best: sniffing out adventures and leading the way on his walks! 👃🌿🐾

If your furry friend is showing signs of lameness or discomfort, don’t wait. Early intervention can make a big difference.

🚨 Urinary Tract Infections in Pets – What to Watch For 🚨

UTIs aren't just a human problem – our furry friends can suffer from them too, and they can be very uncomfortable or even dangerous if left untreated. 😿🐶

Here are some common signs of a urinary tract infection in pets:
🔸 Straining to urinate
🔸 Frequent urination or accidents in the house
🔸 Blood in the urine
🔸 Licking at their urinary area
🔸 Increased thirst
🔸 Crying or signs of pain when urinating

If your pet is showing any of these symptoms, it’s important to have them checked by a vet as soon as possible. Left untreated, UTIs can lead to serious complications or health issues.

The good news? With the right treatment and support, most pets bounce back quickly. 💙

🍂🐾 Winter Weight Woes – Keep Your Pet Healthy This Season! 🐾🍂

As the weather cools down, it’s easy for our pets to become less active—and those extra treats or comfort foods can quickly lead to weight gain. But maintaining a healthy weight is vital for your pet’s overall health and wellbeing!

Excess weight can increase the risk of:
⚠️ Joint pain and arthritis
⚠️ Heart disease
⚠️ Diabetes
⚠️ Shortened lifespan

💡 Tips for Winter Weight Management:
✔️ Stick to portion-controlled feeding
✔️ Choose healthy, low-calorie treats
✔️ Keep them active with indoor games or short walks
✔️ Ask us about weight-friendly food options

At Brighton Veterinary Surgery, we’re here to help!
We can assess your pet’s weight and body condition, and create a tailored plan to keep them fit, happy, and healthy—no matter the season.
