With the colder weather coming alot of people are choosing to keep their furkids fluffy.this is great but please dont think this means less grooming as the opposite is true. Knotty and matted coats are not only uncomfortable for the dog but do not insulate and keep the dog warm. We can do a range of things over winter to keep the coat fluffy and your baby comfortable from bath and tidy, where we bath dry do nails brush the coat out and tidy face feet and bottom. To long clips. We can only do this if the coat is kept in good condition! Make sure your furkid gets pampered to keep them feeling their best over the colder months. This beautiful boy came in today for his tidy up to keep him mat free and comfortable so he can stay fluffy over the colder months. So many people think its cold I wont get the dog groomed. Mats do not let the dogs coat insulate properly and are uncomfortable. Your dog is much better off coming every 4 to 8 weeks for a tidy up or fluffy clip to keep them comfortable rather than leaving the coat all winter to get matted and unsightly.

Due to this i will be making sure everyone's vaccinations are current on my records. No vaccinations no entry

⚠️ Parvo virus has been detected in our local area - North West Tasmania ⚠️

We are sharing this update to help keep our community informed and pets safe, following a confirmed case of canine parvovirus in the Devonport area.

Parvo is a highly contagious virus that can make dogs especially puppies, very unwell.
Parvo can also survive in the environment for long periods of time, meaning it’s easy to unknowingly bring it home on shoes, clothing or from shared spaces.
With the Easter long weekend coming up, please be mindful if taking your dogs out in public.

Symptoms of Parvo Virus are:
• Vomiting
• Diarrhoea
• Tiredness or weakness
• Loss of appetite

The good news is that Parvo is preventable with vaccination.
Making sure your dog’s vaccinations are up to date is the most effective way to protect them.
