Gentle Death Education and Planning

Gentle Death Education and Planning End of Life consultant & educator, researcher; EOL services, advocacy & support for people & pets. Comprehensive & inclusive training, EFT psychotherapy.

Death literacy, secular/atheist, LBGTIQA+ ally, diversity-inclusive, kink-friendly safe space. Gentle Death and Events Planning is a culmination of decades spent working to relieve grief and trauma. I founded GDEP to help everyday people and professionals in the end of life space increase their capacity to support the dying. I do this through direct support as an end of life consultant, providing

direct mentoring virtually and face-to-face, as a speaker, academic, teacher and publishing research. My latest undertaking is an online program that brings together practical support with evidence-based knowledge to help empower people when acting in a support role to someone facing end of life. Inclusive of diversity, culturally impartial, and free from religion, my end of life training is suitable for practising professionals and the layperson alike.

Love in the post!

Thank you to Tracey L for breathtakingly beautiful, delicate, and entirely practical handmade bookmarks. I loathe putting markers in that mess with the spine, these solve the problem by adorning a pages edge.

Genius!

Did you know that wind phones are a great source of comfort and support for those left behind after a death and are a staple of grief culture?

Yup.

Got questions? I'm here to help.

I had the BEST time recording with of Critical Info this morning! (Not, I must say, in an Oodie but Remy needed a walk 😉 ) We talked about end of life doulas, advance planning, grief, inclusive death care, and why a pet's death can be just as devastating as a human's.

Catherine's work is extraordinary and high-calibre, I encourage you to follow her if you don't already.

What are your weekend plans??!

Slightly manic looking selfie you say? Bloody right mate - I donated plasma for the first time today at Launceston and my arm is sore!

It takes a bit of time to sort out optimal arm positions for the needle as it's a 45 minute thang, the awesome staff help make the time fly..

Next plasma donation will be in two weeks because
