Because of the lack of opportunity for city kelpies and border collies to herd sheep they will exercise their instincts by rounding up other dogs in the park or your children or cat at home. In our training sessions in the Melbourne suburb of Kilsyth what we aim to do is to bring out the natural herding instinct in your dogs and to teach them to herd sheep to you. By doing this you are actually te

aching your dog to work with you as a team and you will find it much easier to train your dog in other sports other than sheep herding.

At the Lancefield show 2025. This dog did a fantastic job moving the sheep into the 'race'. They just would not go in but that dog never gave up.
