Happens all too often ..
You really need to do your homework when hiring so called house/pet sitters.
My advice .. always always use a professional company or a recommend house sitter and one that been recommended from a. Family member or friend ..

A pair of heavy-handed pet sitters were caught kicking and dragging family dogs they were paid to look after.

Paige Williams was entrusted with caring for three dogs, two cats and two birds of prey in Solihull while their owners were away for four weeks on holiday in July and August 2024. Her boyfriend, Bradley Regan Archer also joined her at the family's home, in Balsall Common, to help take care of the animals.

But on the family's return, they discovered devastating footage - captured on cameras in the kitchen and garden. It showed the couple swearing at the dogs, roughly dragging them by their collars, holding them off the ground, pushing them through doorways and pushing them down. All of the incidents caught on camera involved a 13-month-old dog called Ayrton and a three-year-old dog called Frieda - both German Shorthaired Pointers - and did not relate to the third dog, the cats or the birds.

Donna provided an absolutely incredible pet-sitting service while we were away for a week in New Zealand. Leaving my little dog behind is never easy, but Donna made the whole experience completely stress-free. I really wanted Oscar to stay comfortable in his own home, and Donna made that possible by visiting twice a day and spending plenty of quality time with him.

She fed him, cared for him, played games with him, and took him on walks and little outings, which meant he stayed happy, active, and loved while we were away. My sweet little Jack Russell x Mini Foxy absolutely adored her!

Donna has such a caring, kind, and calm nature, and it truly shows in the way she looks after animals. It also meant so much to know that her beautiful family gave Oscar extra cuddles and love while we were away.

Shark culls, dingo culls... mayb we should do government culls. The human species is the greediest out there. We dont live with fellow wildlife in harmony all we do is destroy and clear land. Thousands of animals get killed around australia daily. We are meant to be a smart species, intelligent, innovating etc Why cant some of those brain cells be used to think outside the box on ways humanity can live safely without just clearing land for $$$$.. and making australian native animals endangered. These people dont deserve to be attacked or killed but we all need to stop rushing and be more respectful for the area we are in. Sharks live in the ocean which everyone is aware of when they enter the water.. dingoes are on fraser oops old name its not a secret. Crocodiles are in swimming holes up north thats common knowledge. There are signs and warnings in these locations yet the risk is still taken. We are a lucky race to live where we do. We need to be more alert. Slow down on the rds at dawn and dusk, dont swim at night or at dawn and dusk, adhere to warnings, never swim in the ocean alone or walk alone when u know predators are in the area. Swim between the flags and make sure you take the time to checkout your surroundings and stop taking the environment for granted. The death wildlife carers see daily.. the carnage is heart breaking. If everyone did their bit the world would be alot more harmonious for animals and people. We all need to work together and stop taring eachother apart! and stop killing the habitat an animals that are trying to survive just like we are. Koalas dont go destroying our homes, sharks dont enter our homes so why should we blame them and take take take. If we didnt take soo much habitat human interaction would be more limited.. Life is more than making money or living in grand houses. Why do humans have to be soo greedy.. imagine if everyone in the world changed 1 thing or took an extra 5mins in their day to take a look around. To be more aware. To not cut down every tree.. to slow down on our rds... wouldnt there be less disasters and accidents.. just wish animals could voice their opinions like humans..
