🎃 TODAY’S ENRICHMENT: HALLOWEEN DRESS-UPS! 👻🐾

With Halloween just around the corner, we decided to get into the spooky spirit with some Halloween dress-ups! 🧙‍♀️🦇

Our pooches had the opportunity to show off some adorable, hilarious and wonderfully creative costumes, and we absolutely LOVED seeing their different looks!

Of course, our pups’ comfort and wellbeing always come first. 💛 We only offer dress-up activities to dogs we know are comfortable wearing clothing. Because we know our daycare pups individually, we’re able to assess their body language, behaviour and comfort levels throughout the experience. Participation is always optional, and we never force a pup to wear a costume.

Some of our pooches even arrived at daycare already dressed for the occasion, which we absolutely loved! 😍

We also have to give a MASSIVE shoutout to Helios, who arrived RIDING A BROOMSTICK! 🧹🧙‍♂️😂

What an incredibly creative and original costume idea! We were absolutely blown away by the effort and imagination that went into it. Helios, you certainly made our day and brought plenty of smiles to the team! 🎃🏆

🌟 SPECIAL SHOUTOUT: JAKE THE STAFFY PUPPY! 🌟

We couldn’t finish the week without celebrating our gorgeous Staffy puppy, Jake! 🥹💛

Today was only Jake’s second consecutive day at Suzi Pooch, and WOW, what a difference a day can make!

Yesterday, Jake was understandably a little nervous about entering a new environment with unfamiliar faces and experiences. But today? He came RUNNING through our doors, ready for another day of fun! 🥳🐾

It was absolutely beautiful watching his confidence grow. Jake spent the day playing, exploring and making the most of his time with us!

A special mention goes to his new bestie, Cooper the Golden Retriever puppy! 🐕💛

Cooper has been such a wonderful friend to Jake, helping make his introduction to daycare a positive experience. Watching these two puppies play together and develop their friendship has been one of the highlights of our week!

These are the moments we absolutely LOVE. Seeing a pup go from feeling unsure in a new environment to confidently running through our doors is incredibly rewarding. Building positive associations, confidence and friendships is such an important part of what we do! 💕

Well done, Jake! We’re so proud of you, and a big thank you to Cooper for being such a fantastic furry friend! 🏆🐾

🏆 POOCHES OF THE DAY: BAMBI & TINO! 🐾💙💚

Today we’re celebrating two absolutely gorgeous members of our Suzi Pooch family, Bambi and Tino! 🥹💕

These two are an absolute bundle of joy, and we’re so lucky to have them as part of our daycare family!

Bambi and Tino absolutely LOVE their Saturday daycare visits and always arrive with the biggest smiles, ready for a day filled with fun and adventure! They’re such funny, enthusiastic little characters who are always keen to explore, play and make everyone around them laugh.

One of our favourite things about these two is their beautiful friendship with Gigi the Pomsky! 🐾💕

The three of them are practically inseparable! Whether they’re zooming around the yard, enjoying little play sessions or simply hanging out together, it’s so lovely watching their friendship.

Bambi and Tino are also always enthusiastic about our enrichment activities, love a good sniffari around the yard and certainly never say no to a cuddle with the team! 🥰

Their happy personalities bring so much joy to our daycare, and we absolutely adore having them spend their Saturdays with us.

We love you both so much, Bambi and Tino! 💙💚

🐾💙 THURSDAY’S TAILS, NEW FRIENDSHIPS & HAPPY FACES! 💙🐾

What a wonderful day we’ve had at Suzi Pooch! 🥰

It seems Thursday was THE day for new beginnings, with quite a few new faces joining our daycare family today! 🐶❤️ We absolutely love watching our Suzi Pooch family continue to grow, and there’s something so special about welcoming new pups, getting to know their individual personalities and watching those first friendships blossom! 🌸🐾

🐶 THREE COCKER SPANIELS, ONE BIG DAY!

Would you believe we had THREE Cocker Spaniels experience their very first day at pup school today?! 😍

First up, we welcomed the gorgeous brothers Snickers and Maverick! 💙 These two share such a beautiful brotherly bond, especially considering they’re only three days apart in age!

Although they’re very similar in size, it was fascinating getting to know their different personalities. We absolutely loved watching them regularly check in on one another throughout the day. 🥹❤️

They also discovered our cubby house, which quickly became a favourite! When the sunshine made an appearance, the boys enjoyed some lovely cuddle time together out there. How adorable is that?! ☀️🏡

Our third Cocker Spaniel was the handsome Alfie! 🐶

Well, Alfie certainly didn’t need any convincing that daycare was the place to be! 😂 He walked in with the confidence of a pup who’s been attending for years! He was one very busy boy, enthusiastically exploring his new surroundings and making as many friends as possible. We love that confidence, Alfie! 💙

🐾 JAKE AND HIS VERY SPECIAL WELCOMING COMMITTEE!

We also welcomed an adorable Staffy puppy named Jake! 🥹❤️ First of all, how much do we love the name Jake?!

Jake initially preferred to take some time to observe his new surroundings and get a feel for everything happening around him. And that’s perfectly okay! Every pup adjusts to a new environment at their own pace. 💕

What made today particularly special was watching two of our wonderful regulars, Roczen the English Staffy and Harley the American Staffy, help Jake find his confidence. 🥰

These two were such lovely ambassadors, gently encouraging Jake to join in and play. With their friendly invitations and a little time, Jake began coming out of his shell!

Before long, he was happily walking around, exploring and enjoying himself. It was such a beautiful transformation to witness throughout the day. ❤️

A huge thank you to Roczen and Harley for being such wonderful friends and helping Jake feel welcome! 🐾

🌟 A SPECIAL SHOUTOUT TO ROCZEN! 🌟

We also want to take a moment to recognise just how beautifully Roczen is blossoming here at daycare! 💙

It’s been such a pleasure watching his confidence, social skills and interactions with the other pups continue to develop. He’s becoming such a wonderful presence within our daycare family, and today was another lovely example of that.

We genuinely enjoy having Roczen with us and are so proud of the gorgeous boy he’s becoming! Keep shining, Roczen! 🥹❤️

🐕 RIVER DISCOVERS HIS VERY OWN DISNEYLAND! 🏰✨

Last but certainly not least, we welcomed the gorgeous rescue Kelpie, River! 💙

River initially needed a little time and gentle encouragement to feel comfortable entering a completely new environment. After all, there were so many unfamiliar sights, smells and sounds to take in!

But once River settled in and discovered what was waiting for him, it was as though he’d just walked into his very own version of Disneyland! 😂🎉

Oh my goodness, did this boy have FUN!

He was absolutely in his element, exploring, playing and making the most of every opportunity. We genuinely couldn’t wipe the smile off his face! 🥹🐾

It was so rewarding watching him go from taking those first tentative steps to having what looked like the absolute time of his life!

We’re almost certain River will be sleeping VERY soundly tonight, and we have a feeling he’ll be rather eager to come back for another day of fun! 😂💙

🧠🐾 TODAY’S ENRICHMENT - SIMPLE IDEAS, BIG BENEFITS!

Today we brought out some of our cardboard rolls, which have been so kindly donated by our wonderful pet parents. Thank you so much to everyone who has contributed! We really appreciate it! ❤️

Cardboard rolls might seem like something simple, but they can actually provide some fantastic opportunities for enrichment!

By placing treats or food inside the rolls, we can encourage our pups to use their noses, investigate, problem-solve and work out how to access the goodies inside. 🐶🧠

These activities help provide mental stimulation, encourage natural foraging behaviours and give our pooches an opportunity to explore and interact with their environment.

And the best part? This is something you can easily recreate at home! 🏡

Instead of throwing away your empty cardboard rolls, you can pop some treats inside, fold the ends over loosely and let your pup investigate!

It’s a simple, cost-effective way to introduce a little extra mental enrichment into their day. Just make sure to supervise, particularly if your pup likes to swallow cardboard rather than simply investigate or shred it! 🥰

🐾 $75 - Unbooked walk-ins arriving without a prior booking, subject to availability

We’ve also removed the previous 24-hour booking restriction, meaning you can now make a booking at any time, even on the day, provided spaces are available! 🎉

Jackson is an absolutely majestic individual who carries himself with such effortless grace and elegance. There is just something so captivating about him! You can’t help but stop and admire the way he moves, the way he observes the world around him, and the quiet confidence he brings wherever he goes.

He really is a magnificent boy! 💙✨

We also absolutely adore the beautiful bond he shares with his brother, Jackson the Jack Russell! 🥹🐾 It’s so lovely watching them together and seeing what a wonderful brother he is.

And don’t let his regal demeanour fool you! Jackson is always keen to investigate whatever enrichment activities we have happening throughout the day. He’s a curious boy who loves getting involved and seeing what exciting things we’ve organised for our pups! 🧠🐕

We were lucky enough to enjoy some beautiful sunshine for the first half of the day before the rain decided to make an appearance! Thankfully, our amazing indoor facilities meant the fun didn’t have to stop! Our pups absolutely thrived, enjoying plenty of playtime, socialising and making the most of their day with their furry friends! 🐶💕

📣 A FRIENDLY REMINDER TO OUR SUZI POOCH FAMILY! 📣

Our Wednesdays are becoming incredibly popular, with numbers regularly reaching capacity! We absolutely love seeing so many happy faces, but we also want to ensure every pup receives the attention, care and supervision they deserve. 💙

We’ve noticed an increase in pups arriving without a prior booking, which may have been partly due to our previous 24-hour online booking restriction.

The good news? We’ve now removed that restriction! 🎉

You can now book your pup online at any time, including on the day you’d like them to attend, subject to availability!

Booking online is incredibly important as it allows us to accurately plan our staffing, manage group numbers and maintain a safe, enjoyable environment for every pup in our care. 🐾

A huge thank you to everyone who has been donating cardboard rolls to us! We absolutely love receiving them, and more importantly, so do our pups! 🥰

Sometimes the simplest things make the best enrichment activities!

Today, our pooches enjoyed exploring cardboard rolls, using their noses, paws and problem-solving skills to investigate what was inside.

Cardboard rolls are a fantastic, cost-effective way to provide mental stimulation, encourage natural foraging behaviours and give dogs opportunities to explore and make choices.

And the best part? You can easily recreate this activity at home! 🏡

Simply pop a few treats or pieces of your dog’s regular food inside an empty cardboard roll, loosely fold the ends and let your pup work out how to access their reward! You can even hide a few around the house for a fun little scavenger hunt. 👃🐾

It’s a wonderful way to keep those clever minds busy without needing expensive enrichment toys!

As always, supervise your pup during these activities and remove any cardboard they begin to eat. 💙

Meet the beautiful Albie Bonn! 🥹💙

This gorgeous boy has the biggest heart and is honestly one of the sweetest souls you’ll ever meet! He’s gentle, kind, inquisitive and absolutely loves a cuddle. 🥰

Albie Bonn seems to think he’s the size of a Cavoodle, despite being a much bigger boy! 😂 He’s always happy to come over for some affection, but what we especially love is how respectful he is of both people and his fellow pups. No jumping up, just a lovely, gentle cuddle. 💕

He’s always on the move, curious about what’s happening around him and making the absolute most of his days here at Suzi Pooch!

And can we just appreciate how immaculately groomed this handsome boy always is?! 😍✨

One of our favourite things about Albie Bonn is his beautiful smile, which we’re lucky enough to see pretty much all day long! 😁

We absolutely adore this big-hearted, gentle giant. He brings so much happiness to our days, and we think he deserves all the love in the world! 💙🐾

Did you know that dogs use their whiskers to help gather information about the world around them? Their whiskers are sensitive to touch and can even detect subtle changes in air movement! 🐾

It’s just another reminder of how differently our pups experience the world compared to us, and why providing opportunities to explore their surroundings is so important! 💕

🌿🐾 Today’s Enrichment: A Different Perspective! 🐾🌿

We decided to change things up a little today, with Liv climbing up onto one of our play structures to encourage the pups to explore their environment in a different way! 🐶💕

Rather than always focusing on what’s happening at ground level, we wanted to encourage the pups to look up, investigate their surroundings from a different perspective and engage with something a little out of the ordinary!

We’re big believers in novelty and variety here at Suzi Pooch! 🧠🐾

Even something as simple as a familiar person being in an unexpected place can create a new experience for our pups. It encourages curiosity, problem-solving and environmental awareness, while giving them opportunities to build confidence through exploration.

We love showing our pups that enrichment doesn’t always have to involve toys, treats or elaborate activities. Sometimes changing just one little thing in their familiar environment is enough to get those brains working!

Of course, every pup was free to investigate at their own pace, and it was lovely seeing their different reactions. Some were quick to work out where Liv had gone, while others needed a little more time to investigate! 😂🩵

It’s these little moments of curiosity and discovery that we absolutely love encouraging at daycare! 🐾

🏡🐾 Homestays at Suzi Pooch! 🐾🏡

We’ve also been keeping very busy with our homestay bookings!

For those who aren’t familiar with our homestays, they’re a lovely alternative to traditional boarding kennels. Your pup gets to stay in a home environment with one of our trusted carers, enjoying individual attention, companionship and plenty of love while you’re away. 💕

It’s a wonderful option for pups who enjoy the comforts of home and a more personalised experience.

With the holiday season approaching, it’s definitely worth enquiring early if you’re planning some time away!

👑🐾 POOCH OF THE DAY: DOTTI! 🐾👑

Today we’re celebrating our gorgeous little Dachshund princess, Dotti! 💕💎

Dotti is such a sweet little individual. She’s a quieter girl, but she’s also wonderfully curious and loves wandering around daycare, exploring her surroundings and seeing what everyone is up to!

One thing we really admire about Dotti is how respectful she is of all the other pups. She has such beautiful manners and is always so gentle and considerate when moving around her friends.

We really want to give a special shoutout to Dotti’s pet parents because they’ve done such a wonderful job raising her! She’s such a well-behaved little lady, and it’s an absolute pleasure having her spend her days with us. 🥰

Dotti has a particularly soft spot for Liv and Soleil, and we certainly adore her right back! She loves coming over for cuddles, and we’re always more than happy to give her plenty of love throughout the day. ❤️

Something else we absolutely love seeing is Dotti using the little stairs to get up and down from the furniture. As a Dachshund, this is such a fantastic habit to have, as it helps reduce the need for jumping and unnecessary strain on her long back. We love seeing these good habits being practised at daycare!

Now, one thing we’re still trying to work out is whether Dotti has exceptionally good hearing or whether she’s secretly a mind reader! 😂

You only have to quietly mention her name in a conversation, and suddenly there she is, appearing out of nowhere!

We’re not entirely sure how she does it, but she certainly knows when she’s the topic of conversation. 🤣

And can we please appreciate her gorgeous bejewelled necklace?! 💎✨ It suits her perfectly because, let’s face it, Dotti really is a little princess! 👑💕

Dotti, we absolutely adore your sweet nature, your beautiful manners and all the cuddles you give us. We’re so lucky to have you as part of our Suzi Pooch family! 🩵🐾

Well, the rain certainly had other plans for us today! 😂☔️ But a little wet weather never stops the fun here at Suzi Pooch!

Our pups have been keeping themselves busy with plenty of indoor playtime, lots of cuddles, zoomies with their besties and of course, a whole lot of mischief! 🐶💕 Safe to say, there’s never a dull moment around here, rain or shine!

Our pooches have had the best time today catching up with their besties, enjoying plenty of playtime and making the most of all the fun around daycare! From zoomies around the yard to little cuddle breaks with our girls, there’s never a dull moment at Suzi Pooch! 🐶💕

One of our favourite things about daycare is watching all the beautiful friendships grow! Whether it’s our energetic pups finding their perfect playmate or our quieter little ones coming out of their shells, every day brings something special! 🥹🩵

Nala has the most adorable personality! She’s fun, bubbly and has the biggest heart, especially when it comes to our little pooches. She’s always making sure everyone feels loved and included, and is never too far away when there’s fun to be had! 🥹💕

Her happy energy and beautiful nature bring so much joy to our daycare every single day. We absolutely adore you, Nala, and we’re so grateful to have you as part of our Suzi Pooch family! 🩵🐾

What a beautiful day we’ve had at Suzi Pooch! 🩵 Today was one of the sunniest days of the week, and our pooches were absolutely LOVING it! From soaking up the sunshine and lounging around with their besties to running around enjoying the fresh air, it was the perfect day for daycare! 🌞🌿

🫧 BUBBLE MADNESS! 🫧

Our pups had an absolute ball chasing, jumping and popping bubbles throughout the day! There were plenty of happy faces, wagging tails and lots of excitement!

🌳 SAFARI YARD ADVENTURES! 🌿

Our freshly gardened Safari Yard was a HUGE hit today! The pooches spent all morning running around, exploring, sniffing and chasing their friends through the beautiful greenery. We absolutely love seeing them make the most of this natural outdoor space! 🐾💚

❤️ A LITTLE BESTIE SHOUTOUT! ❤️

We have to give a special mention to Odin the German Shepherd and Vader, who officially became the cutest little besties today! 🥹 These two were absolutely inseparable, playing NONSTOP and having the time of their lives together! Watching new friendships blossom at daycare is one of our favourite things, and these two definitely melted our hearts today! 🥰🐶

Another beautiful day filled with sunshine, friendships, enrichment and so many happy pooches! We love getting to spend our days with your gorgeous fur babies! 🩵🐾

A little round of applause for our gorgeous Atlas, today’s Pooch of the Day! 🥳🐾 One of our newest additions to the Suzi Pooch family, Atlas has already stolen all our hearts with his bubbly personality and endless happiness! You’ll usually find him running around with his bestie Winnie, having the absolute time of his life! We adore you, Atlas! 🩵🥹
