Doggy Day Care Team

Not only is Solei, one of the fun, loving members of our Doggy Day Care team who brings so much energy, laughter, and love to every single day but she’s also one of Suzi’s daughters and sister of Aria.

Always smiling and full of positive vibes, Solei has a wonderful way of making both dogs and people feel happy the moment they meet her. Her youthful energy and playful personality make her the perfect playmate for our daycare pups, and she’s never too far away from a game of chase, a belly rub, or a cuddle.

Making sure every dog feels included, safe, and loved. She enjoys getting to know each dog’s unique personality and watching them build confidence, friendships, and plenty of happy memories of which she’s brings to life on our heart shaped photo wall.

With a heart as big as her smile, Solei is a valued part of the Suzi Pooch family. Her genuine love for dogs shines through in everything she does, and we’re so lucky to have her helping make every day at daycare one to remember. 💙🐶

🐾 Happy Friday, Suzi Pooch family! 💛

What a beautiful way to finish off such a lovely week! We were treated to another gorgeous sunny day today, and we absolutely loved making the most of it with our pups. ☀️🐶 There were happy faces, wagging tails, zoomies, playtime and plenty of time soaking up that beautiful Friday sunshine together. 💕

We’d also love to give a very warm welcome to some gorgeous new members of our Suzi Pooch family: Molly, the Australian Kelpie x American Staffordshire Terrier, Lulu, the Cocker Spaniel, Chino, the Cavoodle, and Moose, the Cocker Spaniel. 🥰🐾 We’re so excited to have them joining us and can’t wait to get to know each of their personalities even more!

Today we also had a much more emotional moment at Suzi Pooch. ❤️ We said goodbye to our beautiful Sasha, one of the sweetest souls we’ve had the privilege of caring for. Her dad brought her in so we could all give her some extra love and say goodbye before she crosses the Rainbow Bridge. 🌈🐾

There were plenty of tears, lots of treats, and of course a few extras packed up to take home. We absolutely loved giving Sasha her little washes. She always seemed to enjoy them and was genuinely one of the easiest pups to wash. 🛁❤️ We’ll always remember her confidence in daycare, her curiosity and the way she never seemed to stop moving! As she got older, we set up a quiet little space for her where she could chill out and rest when she needed to while still being part of everything around her. We absolutely adore Sasha and her dad, and we feel so grateful that we got to be part of her life. You will always be part of our Suzi Pooch family, Sasha. 🌈❤️🐾

🌿 Our Sniffari was definitely the place to be today! We spent lots of time out there enjoying everything that makes this space such a special part of our daycare. Our Sniffari gives the pups a completely different environment to explore, with opportunities to sniff, investigate, move around, play and make their own little discoveries. Sniffing and exploring are such important natural behaviours, so we love having a dedicated space where our pups can engage their noses and brains while also getting plenty of physical activity. 🧠🐾 It’s one of the things we absolutely love being able to offer, and watching each pup explore it in their own individual way is always so special.

🫧 We also brought out the bubbles today! Such a simple activity, but it can create SO much fun. Some pups love chasing them through the air, some try their very best to catch them, some pounce as they hit the ground, while others prefer to stand back and watch all the excitement unfold. 😂 It’s a lovely way to encourage curiosity, movement, visual tracking and coordination while giving them something different to interact with. It’s also an enrichment activity that is super easy to recreate at home. Just make sure you’re using a pet-safe bubble solution and let your pup choose how much they want to get involved. 💕🫧

We also HAVE to give a massive shout-out to Bluey the Frenchie and Helios the Golden Retriever. 😂💕 At this point, we’re genuinely not sure whether these two are besties or lovers! Ever since they first met at daycare, they have been practically inseparable. They spend so much of their day playing together, and if they’re not playing, you can usually find them simply hanging out side by side. Their little relationship is honestly one of the cutest things to watch. 🥹🐾

And a huge shout-out to Harley, AKA “‘Merica” 🇺🇸, a nickname Liv has given her thanks to her very fabulous American flag collar. 😂 Harley is still such a young pup and has been coming in on consecutive days since her very first visit. We have absolutely loved watching her confidence shine! She is incredibly playful, social and full of personality, and seeing her run around, make friends and completely embrace daycare life has been such a joy. We absolutely adore you, ‘Merica! ❤️🐾

🏆 POOCH OF THE DAY: ROO! 🏆

We absolutely LOVE Roo. Honestly, she may be one of the happiest pups to ever exist. 😂💕 She brings such a joyful energy with her and somehow manages to make everyone around her smile.

One of our absolute favourite Roo moments is when she essentially turns herself into a pogo stick and launches herself straight into Liz’s arms. 😂 She is just pure happiness in pup form!

It probably won’t surprise anyone that Roo’s favourite place is our Sniffari, especially when she gets to hang out with one of her besties, Jett. 🌿🐾 Whether she’s exploring, playing, bouncing around or spending time with her friends, Roo approaches everything with that same infectious enthusiasm.

We adore you, Roo! Congratulations on being our very deserving Pooch of the Day! 💛🐶

🐾 HAPPY THURSDAY FROM SUZI POOCH! 🐾

What a wonderful, fun-filled Thursday we’ve had with our pups today! 🥹💜 There was so much happening, plenty of play, enrichment and some very special moments throughout the day.

We first want to extend the warmest welcome to our gorgeous new friend, Jasper the Cavoodle! 🐶✨ Today was a pretty big day for little Jasper, as not only did he come in for his very first groom, it was also his first ever day at daycare! 🥹💕

Being a young pup and having so many new experiences at once, we wanted to make sure Jasper’s introduction was nice and gradual. We started him off in our Little Ones Room, surrounded by a carefully chosen group of friendly pups we knew would be a lovely match for him. 💗

It was so beautiful watching his confidence grow throughout the day. Before long, Jasper was ready to venture out into the big daycare room, meet even more friends and even join in with some of our enrichment! For his very first daycare experience, he settled in so beautifully and we were incredibly proud of him. 🥹✨ And of course, he got to finish his day looking fresh and fabulous after his first groom too!

🫧 FOAM PARTY ROUND TWO! 🫧

We had SO much fun with yesterday’s foam party that we simply had to bring it back again today! 😂🫧

Just like yesterday, when the foam first appeared there were lots of curious little faces trying to work out exactly what this strange new stuff was. Novel experiences are such a fun way to get those little brains working, and sometimes all it takes is one confident pup to show everyone else that there’s nothing to worry about.

Today that pup was Woody the Labrador! 😂🫧 Woody was straight in and happily led the way for everyone else. Once the others saw how much fun he was having, plenty more decided they wanted in on the action!

Wh***ey the Labrador was another huge foam-party fan! 🥹💙 It made it even more special because today was Wh***ey’s first day back with us after being away for a little while. What a way to return! We were so happy to have him back, and seeing him jump straight into all the fun made us even happier. 🫧🐾 And even our brand-new boy Jasper decided to get involved on his very first day!

📦🐾 We also brought out some of our cardboard rolls for another little enrichment session today! A huge thank you to our pup parents for donating all those cardboard rolls to us! 💕

Something as simple as cardboard can actually provide such lovely enrichment for pups. Exploring, sniffing, searching, pawing, pulling and investigating are all behaviours that come very naturally to them, and giving them safe opportunities to use those behaviours is a wonderful way to engage their minds. 🧠🐶 We love hiding little surprises and letting the pups work things out for themselves!

It’s also such an easy enrichment idea to recreate at home. Just make sure your pup is supervised, the cardboard is clean and free from staples, tape or anything else they could swallow, and take it away if they decide eating the cardboard is more exciting than exploring it! 😂📦

🎾 LITTLE ONES PLAYTIME! 🎾

Lara also spent some lovely one-on-one time with our Little Ones group today, getting down on their level and having a good old-fashioned ball play with them! 🥹💗 We find some of our smaller pups absolutely thrive when we create these more intimate little play sessions for them.

Throughout the day we’re always adjusting the environment to suit the pups in front of us. Sometimes that means smaller carefully selected groups, sometimes two separate groups, and then bringing everyone back together when it suits them. 🐾

One of the things we really love is giving our pups positive experiences with other pups who may look completely different to them. So many of our pet parents have told us that daycare has helped their pup become more confident around other pups outside of daycare too. 🥹💕 A tiny pup learning that a bigger pup can be gentle and friendly, or a larger pup learning how to appropriately interact with a smaller friend, can create such valuable positive memories.

At the end of the day, pups come in all shapes, sizes and appearances, and we love helping them learn that different can still mean friend! 🐶💜

🌟 POOCH OF THE DAY - LIZZIE! 🌟

Our beautiful Lizzie! 🥹💗

Lizzie has such a beautiful presence about her and is absolutely stunning! She has the loveliest calming nature, while still having the cutest fun and playful side that we absolutely adore.

She’s incredibly social, friendly with all the pups around her and is definitely one very popular girl at daycare! 💕 She absolutely LOVES her chew toys 😂🧸 and of course, spending time with her best human friend, Soleil! 🥹

🐾☀️ HAPPY HUMP DAY! ☀️🐾

What a Wednesday we’ve had! 💙

First up, we want to give the warmest welcome to our newest furry friend, Caesar! 🥹🐾 Caesar is a very unique and absolutely stunning Golden Retriever x German Shepherd mix, and he has the beautiful temperament to match! 😍 Such a gorgeous boy, inside and out.

We already know one thing for certain… we NEED to see more of Caesar! This is not a want, it is a need. 😂💛 Welcome to the family, Caesar!

🫧 FOAM PARTY! 🫧

This is something we have been anticipating for quite a while, and today it FINALLY came to fruition… our very first FOAM PARTY! 🎉🫧💦

It was SO, SO, SO much fun!

The pups were immediately fascinated by all the foam we had set up in one of our blue pools. There was plenty of investigating, sniffing and watching, but it took one brave pup to make the first move…

Enter Basil the Groodle! 😂👏

Basil confidently got straight in and officially paved the way for everyone else. Once the other pups saw Basil having the time of his life, suddenly everyone was much more keen to join the party! 😂🫧 Thank you, Basil, for leading the charge!

Novel experiences like this are such a fun form of enrichment because they introduce the pups to different textures, sensations and environments in a safe and positive way. It encourages curiosity, confidence and exploration, while giving those clever little brains something completely new to investigate! 🧠🐾

With the seasons changing and those beautiful warmer temperatures arriving, we absolutely cannot wait for more activities and parties just like this! ☀️💦

Speaking of the warmer weather, we know this is also the time of year when many pet parents start thinking a little more about their pup’s coat. Regular grooming is beneficial all year round and is a great way to help maintain coat condition, prevent matting and keep your pup feeling comfortable as the seasons change. 🛁🐶✨

Sorry for the long message 😂🤍 but I just wanted to get this off my chest and say a massive thank you to everyone.

Today was definitely a really full-on day, and it honestly just reminded me how amazing our little team is and how much everyone deals with and takes on every single day. In daycare, managing our dogs, all with completely different personalities, behaviours and needs, while still making sure everyone is safe, happy and getting the best care possible is a lot.

Big shoutout to Piper, Solei, Liv and Aria in daycare. You guys are honestly amazing and handle whatever gets thrown at you throughout the day so well. Daycare can be absolute chaos at times 😂 but you all care so much about the dogs, are always looking out for them and each other, and somehow manage all the craziness that comes with the day. It definitely doesn’t go unnoticed.

A little extra shoutout to Liv because you’re there alongside me every day and somehow just roll with every change, problem and random thing that gets thrown at us 😂 You take on so much, always help keep everything moving and somehow manage to deal with me every day on top of it all 😂🤍 I appreciate you more than you know.

To our grooming team, Sharla, Rina and Amber, everything that you guys do is truly amazing. The patience, kindness and care you have for every dog, even through the frustration and some of the really difficult situations you’re faced with, says so much. Especially recently, some of the things we have been seeing with dogs coming through have been genuinely upsetting, but you are always honest about what you see and what you think needs to be done because you genuinely only ever want what is best for the dog. The care you put into every single dog that comes through that grooming room definitely doesn’t go unnoticed 🤍

Shannon 🤍 especially being so fresh in your role, you have taken on SO much and handle everything that gets thrown at you so amazingly. You’re so good with our customers and everything you do for us already has made such a difference. We are honestly so, so lucky to have you and you’re absolutely amazing at what you do 🤍

Of course, Suzi 🤍 pretty much my go-to for absolutely everything 😂 Everything you do behind the scenes for me and for the whole team is incredible and I don’t think everyone always gets to see just how much you actually do. What you’ve built with Suzi Pooch and the amount of love and care you’ve put into making it what it is today is honestly amazing. We wouldn’t have this team or this little Suzi Pooch family without you, and I’m so grateful for everything you do and for always being there for all of us 🤍
Obviously today was particularly full-on, but this isn’t just about today. I see how much everyone does all the time and I just want you all to know that it doesn’t go unnoticed.

🐾 HAPPY TUESDAY FROM SUZI POOCH! 🐾

What a lovely Tuesday we’ve had, filled with plenty of smiles, laughter, play and all the beautiful little moments that make our days with your pups so special! 🥹💗🐶

Today we welcomed the newest member of our Suzi Pooch family, Alfie the Cavoodle! 🥰🐾 Alfie also had a groom today, so he got to enjoy the best of both worlds, a fresh new look ready for the changing seasons AND a whole day filled with fun! ✂️✨ He is such a confident little pup and settled in beautifully. We already can’t wait to see much more of him! 💕

😂 GUESS THE PUP! 😂
Today we had a bit of fun playing our own version of charades, where we had to act out and guess different pups from our Suzi Pooch family! 🐶😂 Considering we spend so much time with these pups, our own family and friends definitely aren’t complaining that we apparently know them this well! 😂💕 They really do become like family to us, so this was SO much fun.

We made a little video of the game and popped it over on our Instagram, so make sure you’re following our socials to keep up with all the extra fun! 📱🐾💗

One of our absolute favourite moments today was watching Cooper the Golden Retriever pup and Harley the American Staffordshire Terrier pup, who only joined us yesterday, discover each other! 🥹💕 The second these two young pups met, it was GAME ON! 😂🐶💨 They could not stop playing together all day and it was so lovely seeing them find someone with the same playful puppy energy. They are ridiculously cute together! 💗

And another friendship we continue to absolutely adore is Helios the Golden Retriever and Bluey the French Bulldog! 😂💕 It’s such a funny and unique little pairing, but these two genuinely LOVE playing together. Their friendship just keeps flourishing and we absolutely love watching them seek each other out for a play! 🐾🥹

🧠🐾 A LITTLE ONE-ON-ONE TRAINING!
Liv also spent some individual time with a few of our pups today practising spin and roll over! 🎓💕 We love incorporating little one-on-one training sessions throughout the day because it’s such a beautiful way to strengthen our individual bonds with the pups while also giving their brains something fun to work on.

Training is one of the most enriching things you can do with your pup, and we especially LOVE when pet parents continue practising these skills at home. There’s nothing better than seeing a pup come back and thinking, WOW, you’ve been practising! 🥹👏🐾

🐾 POOCH OF THE DAY - OBI! 🐾

Our stunning Obi! 🥹💗

We seriously cannot get over how gorgeous this boy is. Obi has such a beautifully unique look and we absolutely LOVE everything about him. 😍🐾

But as gorgeous as he is, it’s his beautiful character that has really stolen our hearts. Obi is such a gentle, sweet-natured and incredibly loving pup. 🥹💕 He has the sweetest way of looking right into your eyes, and trust us, we are more than happy to look straight back at that beautiful face. 😂💗

And when Obi smiles?! 🥹😭 He genuinely has the most PERFECT smile and we absolutely love seeing it!

Obi may only be a newer member of the Suzi Pooch family, but it definitely didn’t take him long to completely steal our hearts. 🐾💗

🐾 HAPPY MONDAY FROM SUZI POOCH! 🐾

We hope everyone had a beautiful long weekend! 💗 We were VERY excited to get back into it today and see all of our gorgeous pups again. 🥹🐶💕

We started the week with a big warm welcome to some beautiful new faces! 🥰🐾

💗 Oppy, the gorgeous long-haired Dachshund puppy who quite literally melted all of our hearts with that ridiculous level of cuteness! 🥹😭💕
💗 Teddy, the Cavoodle, who was so adventurous and curious! 🐾💗
💗 Boots, the beautiful Poodle with such a gentle, sweet nature 🥹💕
💗 George, the Italian Greyhound, ever so sweet and such a confident little guy! 🥰🐾
💗 Harley, the American Staffy pup, who is honestly the BIGGEST sweetheart! 🥹💕

They all settled in so beautifully, and it was such a lovely way to start our Monday. We already can’t wait to see them again! 💕

🌿 TODAY’S ENRICHMENT 🌿

Today we spent lots of time out in the Sniffari engaging directly with the pups through chase, play and plenty of interaction with the team. 🐶💨

Playing WITH the pups is such an important form of enrichment. It helps strengthen their relationship and trust with our team, encourages them to check in and engage with us, and gives us another opportunity to learn each pup’s individual play style and body language. 💗 Plus, we don’t just want to supervise all the fun, we want to be part of it too! 😂🐾

It was also a busy day in the groom room today! 🛁🐶 Just a little reminder that if your pup is already attending daycare, you can always ask us about adding an Express Wash or nail trim on the day. Just let us know in person or you can book online through PetBoost. 💕🐾

Our beautiful Bambi! 🥹💗

Bambi is SO full of life and personality! She is a proper little Spaniel through and through, and we absolutely love her gorgeous little mouth that curls up when she barks. 😂🐶💕

She has that classic Spaniel curiosity too, always sniffing, exploring and investigating everything around her. 👀🐾 And one of her favourite things is playing chase with Liv out in the Sniffari! 😂💨

Bambi is such a friendly girl with all the pups and an absolute lover with her humans too. She is so luscious, gorgeous and just completely DIVINE. 🥹💗

What a beautiful Thursday we’ve had with all of our pups! 🥹💗

We started our day by welcoming a few gorgeous new faces into the Suzi Pooch family! 🥰🐶

🐾 Breeze the Cavoodle

They all came in with their own unique little personalities, and we absolutely LOVED getting to know each of them! 💗 They all slotted into daycare beautifully, and we can’t wait for their next visits as they become even more comfortable and we get to see more and more of their personalities shine through! 🥹🐾

🧻 TODAY’S ENRICHMENT! 🧻

Firstly, a MASSIVE thank you to all of our wonderful pet parents who have been donating their empty toilet paper and paper towel rolls! 😂💗 We absolutely love being able to reuse everyday items for enrichment, and this is also such an easy activity you can recreate at home!

Today we popped treats inside the cardboard rolls and hid them all around our outdoor Sniffari area. 🌿🐾 Then it was time to let the pups loose and put those incredible noses to work finding them! 👃😂

Dogs experience so much of their world through scent. While we humans have around 5 to 6 million scent receptors, dogs can have hundreds of millions, depending on the breed! 🤯🐶

And just to put the sensitivity of those incredible noses into perspective, dogs can detect certain odours at concentrations measured in parts per trillion. Detecting something at one part per trillion is like being able to detect 1 gram of something mixed into 1 million tonnes! 🤯👃🐾

No wonder our pups were so good at finding those sneaky treats! 😂 We love enrichment that encourages pups to utilise their natural senses and instincts while giving those clever brains a workout at the same time. 🧠💗

As always, we take each pup’s dietary requirements into consideration when using food during enrichment. If your pup has any allergies or dietary restrictions, please make sure their information is up to date in PetBoost and let our team know. We’re always happy to adapt activities so everyone can safely be included! 🥰🐾

We absolutely LOVE and adore this gorgeous girl and her beautiful personality! Stevie is such a friendly, playful and incredibly inquisitive pup. 🥰🐾

One of our favourite things about Stevie is just how curious she is about absolutely everything! 😂 Whenever we bring out something new or set up an activity, you can almost guarantee Stevie will be one of the first pups over to investigate and see exactly what’s going on. 👀😂💗

And this girl can PLAY! 🐶💨 Stevie could happily play for hours on end, making friends and getting involved in all the fun around her. She has such a beautiful nature and is genuinely so deeply loved by all of us here at Suzi Pooch. 🥹💕

🐾 HAPPY HUMP DAY! 🐾

Happy Wednesday, everyone! We’ve made it over the hump… and the weather decided to give us a little bit of EVERYTHING today! 😂🌧️☀️

📍 IMPORTANT AIRTAG SAFETY UPDATE 📍

For the safety of all pups in our care, we’re asking that AirTags and AirTag holders are removed from collars before entering daycare. 🐶💗

Because these devices contain small components and batteries, they can pose a potential ingestion or obstruction risk if they become detached during play.

You’re more than welcome to simply remove the AirTag at drop-off, or bring a separate daycare collar and we can happily swap your pup back into their regular collar before they head home. 🥰🐾

🌧️☀️ TODAY AT DAYCARE! ☀️🌧️

Despite some intermittent rain, we had some beautiful sunshine breaks, which meant the pups still got plenty of opportunities to head outside and have a good run around our Sniffari area! 🌿🐾💗

🎈 TODAY’S ENRICHMENT! 🎈

We brought out a balloon today and it was definitely a hit! 😂💗

Jasper, our rescue Staffy mix, decided he was basically a professional beach volleyball player and had an absolute BALL batting it around! 🏐😂🐾 Kenzie the Mini Groodle was also very interested and spent plenty of time curiously investigating it. 👀🎈 We had lovely, positive reactions all around!

Whenever we introduce something different into daycare, like today’s balloon, it’s always done in a controlled and supervised environment. 🥰🐾 We’re constantly watching body language and making sure every pup is comfortable. If a pup would rather not participate, that’s perfectly okay too! 💗

This is why we LOVE when owners tell us those little details about their pup. If they’re unsure of balloons, sensitive to particular sounds or have certain things they absolutely love, please let us know! 🥹🐾

The same applies to our sound enrichment. 🔊🐶 If your pup is sensitive to fireworks, thunderstorms, construction noises, doorbells or other everyday sounds, that information is really valuable to us. Where appropriate, we’re happy to work on gentle, controlled exposure while carefully watching how your pup responds.

There’s always thought behind what we introduce, how we introduce it and how each individual pup responds. 💗🐾

🐶 DIFFERENT PUPS, DIFFERENT NEEDS! 🐶

We really pride ourselves on being a mixed-breed daycare. There’s so much value in pups having positive experiences with dogs of different breeds, shapes, sizes, personalities and play styles. These experiences can help them feel more comfortable and confident when encountering different dogs out in the real world too! 🥰🐾

We’re also very fluid with our groups because we know our pups so well. 💗 Today we spent part of the day with a smaller, lower-energy group and a larger, high-energy group because we knew both groups would flourish that way. Some pups, like Milo the Cavoodle, AKA our little penguin chick 🐧😂💗, happily interchange between the two! We also bring everyone back together throughout the day. 🥰🐾

📣 FRIDAY CLOSURE REMINDER! 📣

Just a little reminder that Suzi Pooch will be CLOSED this Friday for the Gold Coast Show Day public holiday. 🎡🐾

But we’ll be back and OPEN on Saturday for daycare AND grooming from 8:30am to 2:30pm! 🥰💗

Saturday daycare is $50 for the day, so if your pup still needs their Suzi Pooch fix this week, we’d LOVE to see them! 😂🐾💕

Our beautiful Luna the Hippo Staffy! 🦛💗

Luna is such an incredible girl, playful, excitable and ALWAYS ready to have FUN! 😂🐾 She has a special love for her fellow Staffies and Frenchies, but honestly, any pup willing to play can join Luna’s very large friendship group! 🥰

She has wonderful manners, great obedience and the most BEAUTIFUL little face. We genuinely tell her how pretty she is all day long! 😂🥹💗

Luna brings so much fun and happiness to her daycare days, and we absolutely adore having this gorgeous little hippo as part of our Suzi Pooch family! 🦛🐾💕
