Life is short, do things that push you out of your comfort zone - do that photo shoot on the beach, even if it makes you nervous…especially if it makes you nervous - you’re alive.

Two years ago today I received news I had a Breast Cancer lump. We all know the ride I’ve been on, but it’s behind me now and onwards I go.

Yes, I still worry on occasion about recurrence, but that’s normal. Yes, I still get anxiety flare ups, but far less and much more easily diffused. The small stuff doesn’t get to take over and ruin my day anymore - guess I can thank stupid Cancer for that!

Get ya bits checked - saved me from alot more stress and trauma than I went through. Don’t delay it - it’s your life, you only get one.

Oh, and F**K CANCER.

Rainy day had me flicking through old photos…so why not a Throwback Thursday!

Jazdan Romantic Hit (aka Romeo) and I in Vic around 2012/13 and QLD 2014 - what a handsome, talented and athletic boy Romeo was!

Butter wouldn’t melt in his mouth one day, then the next he’d be pretending to do the High Movements of the Spanish Riding School 😂🫣

I loved him dearly and he moved back to Vic to a lovely family about 10 years ago…time flies!

Every horse I’ve had helped me learn more tools for my toolkit to help the next horses I ride and work with 🥰✨

INGRID KLIMKE MASTERCLASS – IMPORTANT UPDATE

We at Equinesque are thrilled to be bringing the legendary Ingrid Klimke to Australia for her Dressage & Eventing Masterclass on 1 November 2025 at the Queensland State Equestrian Centre. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to learn from one of the world’s most respected equestrians.

However, we do need to share an important update. Ticket sales to date have been lower than expected. We completely understand that times are challenging, and many people may be waiting to purchase closer to the event. But staging an event of this calibre is a significant undertaking, and we must ensure costs are covered for the Masterclass to proceed.

A decision on whether the event will go ahead will be made in the coming weeks. If you are planning to attend but haven’t secured your tickets yet, we kindly ask that you do so by the end of August to help make this incredible event a reality.

We had the most lovely week away - me and my boys! 🫶

Thank you to the amazing kindness of The Otis Foundation who treated us to 4 nights accomodation in Malanda - the respite and relaxation without the stress of thinking about budgeting for a family holiday was greatly appreciated. Please consider donating to this great foundation for people like myself who have gone through breast cancer to get some respite at end of it all. It is unexpected, but so greatly appreciated! 🥰

A couple of extra days tagged on to the end so we could snorkel on the reef and see some of my stores up here and back home to the GC tomorrow morning!
