Your daily dose of serotonin 😽🫶🏻

Say hi to Ripley - the best lap dog in the clinic! Last week she decided to plop her butt down and have a quick snuggle with Nurse Megan before appointment with Dr Jason 🩵

What actually is a TPLO surgery? 🦴

Just like humans can tear their ACL, dogs can injure their cruciate ligament - one of the most common causes of hind leg limping and knee pain in our furry friends 💔

A TPLO (Tibial Plateau Levelling Osteotomy) is a specialised surgery designed to stabilise the knee, reduce pain and help dogs get back to doing what they love most… zoomies, walks and beach adventures 🌊🐾

At Manly Vet Clinic, we’re proud to offer TPLO surgery on-site alongside our travelling specialist surgeon and experienced nursing team 🤍

A beautiful reminder of how much kind words can touch the heart and motivate the soul 🩵

To lovely Wiggle and his family, thank you for your trust in our team. We wish you all the very best on your new adventure overseas 🐶✈️🌍

In the spirit of Veterinary Nursing Awareness Week (BVNA), we’d also like to take a moment to thank the incredible vet nurses around the world.

Thank you for the compassion, patience and dedication you bring to every patient and client who walks through your doors. From holding worried little paws to answering worried phone calls, your work never goes unnoticed 🫶🏻

🐾 Eevee the Golden-Eyed Girl

Eevee, the very beloved tabby of our head nurse Phoebe, came in for her desexing procedure. Before surgery, she enjoyed a little playtime with our receptionist and nurses, followed by pre-anaesthetic blood testing to ensure everything was in the perfect range for a safe anaesthetic and to check her overall health 💉

This little girl had plenty to say, but not to worry, we are well stocked with treats at the clinic. With a few Churus and the promise of extra pom-pom balls to play with at home, she was quickly won over 🤍

Post-anaesthetic recovery highlight? Straight to the food bowl. And not just a nibble. Eevee dove head first (we mean this very literally), chomping her meal down one very committed mouthful at a time 👀

Back to ruling the house in no time, we’re sure 👑✨

🐾 Ellie The Burrito

Miss Ellie came in for her desexing procedure recently, a routine surgery that we medically call an ovariohysterectomy or spay in clinic. While she was here, she also had a little nail trim to achieve the ultimate glow-up 💅🏼

Wishing you a smooth and snuggly recovery, darling girl!! Extra treats are definitely deserved 🦴

🐾 Brody The Snuggle Specialist

Brody came in for a dental procedure and gum resection, a surgery where we carefully remove overgrown or diseased gum tissue to improve comfort and support long-term oral health 🦷Before his procedure, he also had some blood testing done to make sure everything was looking just right for a safe anaesthetic 💉

This boy made it very clear he wanted all the attention, gently placing his paw on our laps to keep us from going anywhere and letting us know (loud and clear) when we had to step away. He had a very effective “stay right here with me” strategy… and we can confirm it worked 😅

Now it’s time for some well-earned rest and plenty of soft snacks while that smile heals 🩵

Happy World Veterinary Day! 🌍🐾🩺

A heartfelt thank you to the people who show up every day for the animals who can’t tell us what’s wrong. The ones who listen a little closer, stay a little longer and care a whole lot deeper 🥹

Veterinary medicine is so much more than medicine. It’s gentle reassurance in scary moments, steady hands in emergencies, happy tears in recoveries and sometimes heartbreak handled with so much compassion 💔✨

To all veterinarians, nurses and every member of the veterinary community, thank you for the dedication, resilience and heart you bring to this profession each and every day.

Today, and every day, we feel so proud to do what we do 🩵

Food & Medication Reminder!! 🦴🐈💊

Please take a moment to check that you have enough of your pet’s food and medication to last the holiday period. If you’re running low, give us a call ASAP so we can have everything ready for collection before the holidays.

If you’re travelling, make sure your pet sitter is fully briefed on your pet’s routine. This includes feeding amounts, medication schedules and a few common holiday risks such as:

• Guests accidentally feeding inappropriate foods that may cause gastrointestinal upset (e.g. toxic or allergy triggering)

• Children’s toys, wrappers, foil or ribbons left within reach, which may be accidentally ingested.

• Doors or gates being left open, increasing the risk of pets escaping.

Happy Easter Everybody! 🧁🌸🌷
