🌟 THE WAIT IS OVER FOR SASHA! 🌟

Remember Sasha? ❤️‍🩹..
A few weeks ago, we shared Sasha's story – a beautiful girl who had endured more than any dog ever should. After coming into our care, we discovered she had a bullet lodged in her body, a heartbreaking reminder of the difficult start she had in life.

Despite everything she had been through, Sasha never lost her gentle spirit or her hope for a brighter future. She patiently waited, won over the hearts of our staff and volunteers, and finally… her perfect family came along. 🏡✨

We are now overjoyed to share that Sasha has now finally found her forever home!
Seeing this brave girl leave our shelter with a smile and a future filled with love is exactly why we do what we do.

Goodbye, sweet Sasha. Thank you for teaching us all about resilience, forgiveness, and hope.

We wish you a lifetime of happiness, adventures, and all the love you deserve. ❤️🐾

Get your pets microchipped for free before Territory Day! 🎇🐾

This Saturday, City of Darwin is partnering with RSPCA to offer FREE pet microchipping.

Fireworks can spook our fur babies, causing them to run away or become lost. Microchipping and registering your pet contributes to a quick and less stressful reunion ❤️

Come by to get microchipped for free, register your pet for the current registration period, or check that your details are up to date!

⏱️ 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
📍 RSPCA at 80 Boulter Road, Berrimah.
💲 Free

No event registration required. Simply bring your pet between 10am and 2pm this Saturday.

📢 Remember, pets need to be microchipped as part of standard animal registration.

🎉 Our very first Doggy Day Out was a huge success! 🎉

Today, the beautiful Sienna headed off on an adventure and what a day she had! 🐾

She spent the day exploring the beach, enjoying a cafe outing, making new doggy friends, and soaking up all the sights, smells and experiences that every dog deserves. ❤️

Doggy Day Out gives our shelter dogs the chance to enjoy a break from kennel life, build confidence, and most importantly, be seen out in the community by potential adopters.

Sienna was an absolute superstar and represented our shelter wonderfully. We captured plenty of photos and videos along the way to help showcase just how amazing she truly is.

The best part? Sienna is still looking for her forever home! Could the perfect family be out there waiting for her?

A huge thank you to our wonderful volunteer for making today so special. We can't wait for more Doggy Day Out adventures in the weeks ahead! 🐶☀️🌊

Ever wished you could brighten a shelter dog's day without making a long-term commitment? Now you can!

Our Doggy Day Out program gives our shelter dogs the chance to spend a day away from kennel life, exploring the world, making memories, and enjoying some one-on-one attention. Whether it's a walk by the water, a coffee date, a trip to the park, or simply relaxing with a new friend, every outing helps enrich a dog's life.

Not only do these adventures provide valuable socialisation and positive experiences for our dogs, but they also help them get noticed by potential adopters outside the shelter. Plus, the photos and videos taken during their day out allow us to showcase their personalities and update their adoption profiles.🩷

🐶 Benefits for our dogs:

🐾 Happy Tails: Jacko 🐾

We love receiving updates from our adopted animals!

Jacko is settling beautifully into his new home, where he enjoys swimming at the dam, playing fetch, going for car rides, and apparently taking up the entire bed at night! 😄

His family told us adopting Jacko was "the best decision we've ever made."

Thank you for giving this deserving boy the loving home he deserves. ❤️

🎉 SUPER HAPPY NEWS OF THE MONTH! 🎉

After patiently waiting for his forever family, our much-loved long-term resident Stanley has finally found his happily ever after! ❤️

There were so many of us cheering for this special boy and hoping the perfect home would come along. Well, it finally did! Just look at that grin — we think it says it all. 😍

Stanley has captured the hearts of staff, volunteers, foster carers and supporters alike during his time with us, so seeing him head off to start this exciting new chapter is incredibly rewarding.

Congratulations, Stanley! We couldn't be happier for you and your new family. Thank you for giving this wonderful boy the forever home he has been waiting so patiently for.

🐾 LONG-TERM RESIDENTS SPOTLIGHT 🐾

Today we’re shining the spotlight back on two very special souls who are still waiting for their forever homes — Mogwai and Moto.🐱🐶

Mogwai, our black and white tuxedo girl, is pure sass wrapped in fur. She’s affectionate… but only when she decides it’s time. She loves attention, just on her own very important terms (as all queens do 👑).

Moto, our big Ridgeback boy, is the definition of a gentle giant. Soft-hearted and sweet, he has the cutest habit of suckling on his soft toys when he’s relaxed — a little quirk that shows just how sensitive and loving he really is.

Both are currently thriving in foster care, but what they truly need is a place to finally call home.
