Well, not quite... but our girl Stevie is definitely bringing some rockstar energy with that incredible mohawk! 🤘🐾

Stevie, along with her friends Nixie and Paxton, are a gorgeous Wolfhound Cross trio searching for loving forever homes.

These sweethearts are full of personality, affection and mischief.
They love to play, explore and make new friends, and they're growing into stunning young dogs who will make wonderful companions for the lucky families who adopt them.

After waiting patiently for her forever family, Luna has officially found her happy ending!

Watching this sweet girl head off to her new home with her loving humans absolutely made our day.

Today was Luna’s turn to walk out the shelter doors and into the life she deserves!

This gorgeous girl has officially found her forever home and we couldn’t be happier for her and her new family.

From shelter life to couch cuddles, adventures and unconditional love — this is what it’s all about.

Volunteers are the heart and soul of organisations like RSPCA NT, and Tony and Dave have dedicated countless hours helping animals in need, supporting our team, and making a real difference in the lives of vulnerable animals across the Territory.

Being named nominees is a wonderful recognition of their commitment, compassion, and generosity. While they may not seek the spotlight, their impact is felt every single day by the animals, staff, and community they support.

This week, we celebrate the incredible volunteers who help make RSPCA NT possible every single day. ❤️

From walking dogs, cuddling cats, fostering animals, helping at events, cleaning, feeding, transporting animals, assisting behind the scenes, and supporting our team in countless ways... our volunteers are the heart of what we do.

Together, RSPCA NT volunteers contribute more than 5,000 hours every year caring for animals in need across the Northern Territory. That is thousands of hours of compassion, kindness, patience, and love given to vulnerable animals who need it most.

Quite simply, without our volunteers, we could not do the work we do.

To every single person who gives their time, energy, and heart to support our mission - thank you. You are the unsung heroes of RSPCA NT, and this week we celebrate YOU. 🐶🐱❤️

🐾 Meet our animals seeking refuge from shelter life… 💔

Shelter life is hard… and some of our animals are really struggling.

We are urgently looking for foster carers for:

🐶 Puppies needing socialisation and home enrichment before desexing

🐱 Cats stressed by long-term shelter stays

🐕 Dogs who are mentally and emotionally exhausted from kennel life

No matter how caring our staff and volunteers are, nothing compares to the comfort of a quiet home, a soft bed, and human companionship. Some of our animals are beginning to shut down in the shelter environment, and fostering could make all the difference for them.

Fostering saves lives.
It gives animals a chance to breathe, decompress, heal, and simply be loved. ❤️

If you can help — whether short term or longer term — please reach out. Your spare room, couch, or backyard could be exactly what an animal needs right now.

Cue the happy tears 🥹🎉

Our beautiful pup Renzo has officially found his forever family today, and with that, every single pup from The Ark Animal Hospital community litter has now been adopted! 🐶❤️

There’s nothing better than seeing rescue puppies get the happy endings they deserve. Renzo’s new family absolutely adore him already, and we know he’s going to live the most amazing life.

Thank you to everyone who helped support, foster, care for, and love this litter along the way. Another rescue success story 💕

⚠️ Trigger Warning: Animal Cruelty / Injury Mention ⚠️

When beautiful Sasha first came into our care, we knew something wasn’t quite right.
After further investigation, our vet team discovered something heartbreaking… Sasha had a .22 calibre bullet lodged in her body. 💔

The bullet had likely been there for quite some time before eventually migrating into her neck where it became noticeable.

Despite everything she has endured, Sasha has remained incredibly loving, resilient, and trusting of people.

Thanks to our amazing veterinary team, the bullet was successfully removed and Sasha is now recovering beautifully and doing so well. ✨

Now it’s time for the next chapter in Sasha’s story — finding the forever home she truly deserves. A home filled with love, safety, warm beds, and people who will show her that the world can still be kind.

Sasha has already survived so much. Let’s help her finally get the happy ending she deserves. 🐾❤️

Our adorable little puppy Nutmeg is once again looking for a loving foster home until she is old enough for her desexing procedure. Being in a home environment is so important for puppies — it helps with enrichment, confidence building, socialisation, and learning all the good puppy manners 🐶✨

Nutmeg is at that fun, playful puppy stage and would love a safe place to snuggle, play, and grow while she waits for her forever future.

Please remember puppy rules still apply until she is fully vaccinated:

🚫 No public grass areas or walks

🚫 No contact with unknown dogs

✅ Safe indoor play and secure private areas only
