π€’πΆ Vomiting in Dogs β What You Should Know πΆπ€’
Just like people, dogs can sometimes have an upset stomach. Occasional vomiting may not be serious, but repeated or unusual vomit can be a sign of something more concerning.
π‘ Types of vomit and what they mean:
πΈ Yellow bile β often from an empty stomach or acid reflux.
πΈ White foam β may be reflux, but could also be an emergency if paired with bloating or pain.
πΈ Clear liquid β can happen after drinking too much water.
πΈ Mucusy/slimy β possible parasites, spoiled food, or contaminated water.
πΈ Blood or coffee-ground appearance β π¨ urgent vet visit needed.
πΈ Brown vomit β could mean digested blood or f***l matter. Seek help immediately.
πΈ Grass β not always serious, but repeated grassy vomit may point to an underlying issue.
β οΈ See a vet right away if your dogβs vomiting is frequent, contains blood, looks like coffee grounds, or if your pup seems weak, bloated, or in pain.
