It’s Tribute Tuesday and tonight we remember sweet girl Cheeky🐾 Sometimes animals just find you right when you need them the most ♥️ Cheeky showed up on Auroras place one night wandering her street as a lost puppy 🐶 The next day her owner called out her name and took her back home. In the following weeks, she kept escaping and returning back to the yard. Cheeky was skinny covered in ticks and also had scars on her face from play fights with the older family dog 🐕 The last time she was collected the owner said she couldn’t keep living like this and said it might be time to put her up for adoption and Aurore said maybe I could take her if you do ♥️

Aurora arrived home from the fishing trip from hell one day to be told somebody was waiting excitedly in the back yard for her 🤗The owners had dropped Cheeky off with all her stuff as they were moving. This was the day she was named renamed to Cheeky from Chicken previously 🐓 And she was finally home at her forever home ♥️

It took a long time for Aurora to help her anxiety but it was only with lots of love and not leaving her outside alone in the heat or in the dark that she improved ♥️ She was so loved and spoilt for the rest of her life which she ended up being just over 16 years . Aurora is so eternally grateful for all the years by her side through thick and thin, rainbows and storms.⛈️ Cheeky rescued her from darkest places just like she rescued her 🥰 She will will be dearly missed by Nala her dog sister, home is lonely without you as that have been together since they were puppies x And your Mum will love you forever Cheeky girl ♥️

Sorry not sorry no cute puppies in this post 🐶 Happy birthday 3rd birthday to my Beautiful JJ seriously where has the time gone! 🥳 I did a Bon Voyage shoot last night at sunset for the last day of him being my little 2 year old ♥️JJ was naturally the perfect model hardly looking at the camera, so they were quite candid shots as i like them 📸 The sky started quite golden then it turned really moody. Check out the video at end of photos ♥️

We picked up this dusty old ship model recently for just $3 from an op shop of course 😂 thinking it would be the perfect prop oneday and it was 🚢 I was lying low with the waves crashing on my back to get the shot 🌊 Trying not to think of any spying crocodiles 🐊 JJ loved the water action so much that he asked to go back once we got home and showered 😂

This tribute Tuesday and we remember Cooper also known fondly as Snoot. He came into the the family a sweet wee puppy 🐶 The timing was right as the family had not long lost their beloved boxer so the house was feeling empty ♥️ Cooper was so very naughty he should have failed failed puppy school but instead it was discovered he was quite the social butterfly in class 🦋 His best mate was definitely Rubie the family Kelpie & they did everything together and were absolutely inseparable 🐕🐕

Cooper loved being around people by their side especially to catch a sneaky falling snack or two 😂 Around 6 years he began have seizures & had treatment which worked mostly for a couple of years 2 but sadly they got eventually got bad again against his families best efforts 😢 The sad decision was made to let him go peacefully this last November 😭😭😭

His family miss his big personality around the house so much ♥️ Losing 2 dogs within the space of 7 weeks has been hell & back x The animal loving family find peace knowing the two are together now looking out for each other over the rainbow bridge 🌈Like Rubie, Cooper also will be getting tribute portrait tattooed and will feature on my page when it’s done 🤗 His nose print has already been tattooed on Mike his human Dad 👨 These two were seriously one of kind & have left such massive holes in all their lives ❤️

In just the four short months since Elsi was adopted from a local rescue by Glenn he has Learned so much about her beautiful staffy character 😍 He picked a good one as she came well trained and with a really really sweet nature 🐕 Glenn would describe her as part house hippo🦛 and part bundle of bouncing energy especially on doggy daycare days and off the leash walks 😆

This was such an enjoyable shoot for me as Elsi appeared to lap up the limelight and the treats she was truly the perfect model👌 She was by far the easiest pet I have photographed so far this year 😍 And doesn’t she just look like a queen in all the colourful props? I can’t pick a favourite 🤩 She was a shining star 🌟

Elsi is happy to snooze on the couch in the evenings so long as she knows Glenn’s close & adores the occasional snuggle 🥰
She sleeps on the bed but isn’t a bed hog thank goodness 😅 Elsi loves protected her new owner from Possums as none shall cross the perimeter of his yard 😂 As her new house backs onto a park Elsi often sits starring at the trees 🌳 and growls when she hears the russell of an unsuspecting possum 🐾

This tribute Tuesday we say Goodbye Rubie also fondly nick named Roo 🦘Adopted at just 12 week from a local shelter 🐶 She was so mischievous but soon won over her owners whole heart & they became inseparable ♥️ Rubie eventually got through the puppy stage she very much became a lover of couch lounging. And became a frequent blood door to dogs in need 🩸 And was became a familiar face at local dog parks & beaches 🏖️

Rubie Roo was super smart and learnt so many tricks (her favourite being to spin and jump throughs a hoop) She would be anyone’s friend and enjoyed hanging at her owners vet workplace having play dates with other staff dogs 🐶 In her final years her although her health various health conditions were managed she had to slow down. Rubie still loved her outdoor adventures just at a slower pace 🐾

Sadly once she lost her best friend the family Rottweiler & her trusty sidekick she just wasn’t the same ♥️ So the heartbreaking decision had to be made to let her go January 1st 🌈 Roo is so dearly missed by all the family but they know she’s at peace and running free with Cooper by her side 🐾 A tribute leg tattoo was done on a recent trip to Bali by by the talented artist Koming 😻 I love that one of these photos (head of flower pic) was used to design it ♥️

Talk about adventure dog! 🐕 This handsome boy Baxter went from being in an Alice Springs shelter cage to traveling all around Australia with his wanderlust Mumma Lydia 🇦🇺 She took him to explore & live absolutely everywhere from hiking the Tasmanian wilderness to swimming in Queensland’s far northern beaches 🏝️And now they have both settled nicely in Darwin and call it home ♥️

Fast forward and Baxter is now 11, greying on the muzzle & spends his days leasurely lounging on the couch as he’s approaching his retirement years 🐾 Lydia being a vet nurse kept watching various other work mates show off their gorgeous studio photos of their pets and decided it was finally Baxter’s turn 🐕 And boy was he a charmer in front of my camera 😍

His favourite time of the day is dinner, and he’s so smart he has a special button that he can press that requests food 😂 In the dry he enjoys to laze in the sun & scratch his back on the grass before getting up to play fight with his younger wolfhound sibling, Spud 🥔 Whom is responsible for the ball chewing and I can’t wait to photograph one him day soon x 📸

Today is tribute Tuesday and we celebrate the amazing life of Andy short for Andromeda a gorgeous American Staffordshire purebred ♥️ Almost 10 years ago she was needing to be rehomed as good family friend was a breeder so she became part of the crew and shortly after her one of her puppies Blade also joined the home. See the pic 😍 Andy excelled in the show arena just year after they got her she became a champion 🥳 Her son Blade followed suit 🐕 Once that achievement was done and dusted the two were happy to become couch potatoes together for the rest of their days 😂

Andy loved the finer things in life, on occasion she would help herself to gin, champagne or even coffee when their owners turned their back for just a second 😂 She was their protector and would just sense when the couple were sick and would stay with them until they felt better. Some would say that she knew her humans better than they knew themselves x

Andy took a back seat as her son blade stole the show in their original shoot with me 🤗 Then when things didn’t look good with her health she was brought in for another a shoot for a kinda goodbye shoot alone … but boy did she shine on her own 🌟 Ultimately it was chronic kidney failure that pushed her over the rainbow bridge just a week ago 🌈 So her owners truely treasured the last 2.5 years with her knowing they wouldn’t have long with her ♥️

Late last year Amber honoured Andy’s life by getting a Tatoo from one of the photos by Nini leleiink at japehomemakervillage 🐾 When I saw Andy after getting the Amber could have sworn that Andy knew the image was of her as she started licking it as a seal of approval 😂 I have to say I get buzz out of clients getting their studio photo in ink x

Remembering Cooper & Rubie ♥️♥️ These two gorgeous souls crossed the rainbow bridge within months of each other 🌈 And their owners wanted me to resend the link again to finally print something for the wall 📸 So I put my thinking cap on and wondered what be a nice way to display their two personalities in one frame? 🤗

Dont let yourself be heartbroken and leave it too late ♥️ This is Mel and her 13 old pup Rosie 🌹 And I was contacted as they really wanted to have some beautiful photos to remember her by 🐾 Although she has various health issues she was amazingly agile in her shoot you wouldn’t have thought she’s 13 next month 🐕 I found her to be such a friendly gentle old soul ♥️

She found me Mel when she walked past the house when she was a 3-4 month old puppy 🐶 They did the right thing and search and searched for her owners but no one wanted to claim her 🐾 Fast forward 13 years and she became Mel’s soul dog ♥️ She loves to be around people so much that family naturally adore her and they will be truly heartbroken the day they have to say goodbye 👋 Now they have these gorgeous photos to remember her by ♥️ 📸 🐕

It’s winning Wednesday 🥳 Hands up who’s ready for a cat shoot 📸 Local Darwin kitty ‘Lady’ a playful Sphinx cat steals the show internationally 🏆 I entered her into two difficult professional photo awards and she did me so proud 🐈

I have just entered her into another prestigious award today and I titled it ‘she’s going for gold’ 🤗 As not only did she make it to the top 10 in the action category of the out of thousands…but she scored also 89 just one point away from the illusive Gold award 🥇 Maybe this time🤞 Get in touch with your cat pics if you would love to have them photographed in my Nightcliff studio 🐾

This tribute Tuesday we celebrate the life of Dana’s soul dog Draco ♥️ Dana & her husband adopted him from the Greyhound Rehoming Association NT at 5 years old 🐕 And they were instantly hooked 🎣 So much so that they become a family of 5 with three greyhounds in total 🐕🐕🐕 I felt honoured to photograph the whole family just months before him crossing the rainbow bridge 🌈 His hilarious Christmas shot was featured on the December page of the 2025 Darwin pet charity calendar 🗓️

They said the day he past was one of the worst days of their lives & Draco is terribly missed by greyhounds Vegas (Italian) & Dobbie too x ❤️‍🩹 I was naturally devastated for them when I heard the sad news ♥️ But they really did give him another 5 more awesome years 🥰 Everyone says greyhounds make the most amazing loyal and loveable pets so I encourage you if you are thinking about it to start with fostering one 🐾. And who knows you might find you soul dog too x

Draco was nicknamed old boy because of his greying hair around his face and mouth 🐶 He had some special quirks like letting everyone when a storm was rolling in by arguing at the thunder 😂 although he was protective he also had a silly side and a soft spot for his favourite plush toy that was a glittery Narwhal 🐋

That’s a wrap everyone 🥳 Thank you to all my amazing clients & pets that participated in this worthy cause 🐕 We have raised $3480 Together ♥️ Exactly 40 shoots were done and 36 purchased my minimum package so I donated $50 of each package sale. And 84 Calendars were sold which cleared a $20 profit from each sold 🤗

The proceeds have been divided 3 ways to 3 worthy local charities Save A Paw NT Greyhound Rehoming Association NT & DACS Inc but I have not managed to obtain their payment details yet. So can everyone please tag DACS for them to get in touch asap 🐾 I had hoped to raise more and include even more worthy charities and pet associations ….So I have put my thinking cap on to brainstorm more ideas for my future project 📸

Fair well Corey ♥️ It’s tribute Tuesday again today and we remember this super cool character 😎 I took these photos almost three years ago 📸 Corey was newly inherited at the time as an owners Nan sadly passed away. Although Corey was the newest fur baby he very quickly became an important part 🐾

Jump forward two+ years later and Corey became an inseparable family member 🐾 So naturally his sudden passing of an aggressive cancer was absolutely devastating ♥️His family got back in touch to see if they could pick more for from the original shoot 📸 And after a long search I found them and there were sooo many good ones 🐶

Corey was a very happy, easy going and calm dog and they could take him anywhere 🐕 Everyone just loved him ♥️ He lost most of his sight towards the end but wasn’t too bothered but if he got lost he would panic and wanted to be picked up. He will terribly missed by Donut because they loved to play fight. And Ötzi misses his cuddles so now snuggles up to his toys 🧸 His family spoilt him absolutely rotten and will especially miss his funny happy growls 🐶 Rest easy, growly, handsome old man ♥️🙌

Meet Marcus everyone yes I’m showing off yet another beautiful Belgian Shepherd Groenendael this week 🤩 This stunning boy became an Australian Neutered Champion at just two years old. He is a really lovely natured dog but can be a bit unsure at first as I soon learnt by photographing him 📸 But as soon as he was comfortable he was lapping up all the attention becoming so relaxed, fun loving & confident 🐕

Marcus enjoys going on Sunday drives & joining on his owners extended caravan adventures around Australia 🇦🇺 He even is own sleeping spot in the caravan ⛺️ So Marcus had the amazing opportunity to entered shows throughout interstate 🐶He has multiple show awards in his short 3.5 of life so far that are now piling up🥇And im sure he will earn many many more to come 🐾

Koda yet another foster fail ♥️ Holly fostered one of 11 eight week old camp dogs 🐕 Fast forward 8 years later she’s living the dream on a Darwin hobby farm 🐓 She is a larger than life girl who’s size matches her character 🐾 featured with her dog sister Sandy (featured the other night) & her Mum Holly x

Koda is a girls girl and welcomes any love and attention from any female 👩🏼‍🎤 But boys beware she will go on boss dog mode when a man is around and is naturally protective of her loved ones ♥️ I knew her in the studio as a big gentle giant with a side of cheekiness 😆

Meet Charm, Diva & Skyie please don’t ask me which black beauty is which as I don’t know 😂 In the shoot it was so hard to call out their names quickly for attention as I really wasn’t sure if I had it right 😆 All of the girls have are show dogs so they had no problems posing as least. And I they lapped up the attention from my camera 🤩

Even though they look a like they definitely have there own personalities ♥️ Charm is mild mannered, matriarch of the group, so sits back and watch the children (Diva and Skyie) until they get to unruly and then will tell them off 🐶

Then there’s Diva the sweet gentle soul but lives up to her name and is quite the Diva 👩🏼‍🎤 Skyie is definitely the fun loving character and the mischievous one so there’s never a dull moment with Skyie around 😆 The the Belgian Shepherds are always a striking breed to photograph 📸 I adore the photo with the three of them together most 😍
