My most favourite, genuine and ethical rehoming group. Please consider fostering a beautiful greyhound. Although be warned you’ll probably fall in love and give them your couch forever!

We are in need of foster carers for our gorgeous greyhounds! If you or someone you know have been thinking about fostering a dog now’s the time to give it a go!

If you’re thinking of adopting a pup but you’re not quite sure yet, fostering is a great way to try out having a dog in your life. Each foster parent plays a vital role in helping our greyhounds adjust to life outside the racing kennel.

📣 NT Animal Welfare Legislation 📣
Public Consultation - Have Your Say on the NT Animal Protection Act 2018. Submissions close 20th September

If we don't speak up laws can't change.

We are the voice for animals and their welfare!

Here's what I'll be submitting feedback on:

- harsher maximum penalties for offences
- what constitutes abandonment
- petitioning that prong collar sale, possession and use be illegal
- education and training

If we sit back and wait for change it won't happen. We have to be the nagging voice for change and do what's right to improve animal welfare in the NT.

Share far and wide!

KENNEL COUGH!

It's doing the rounds at the moment and there is lots of misunderstanding & fear mongering of pet parents about it. So here's the low down.

Kennel Cough is a highly contagious respiratory illness. This can be viral or bacterial. Vaccination exists for strains of Kennel cough, namely parainfluenza and bordetella.

HOWEVER... there are many strains and most dogs who are vaccinated against kennel cough are still highly likely to contract the virus in its many other strains. Think the flu and new strains each year, we as humans experience.

Most veterinary treatment is rest and fluid. Some may prescribe antibiotics, but many don't.

Pneumonia is a complication and can be fatal. However, most dogs that develop this have co-mobordities such as heart or kidney problems, immune-compromised, elderly or over weight. Yes these things matter, they impact how well a dog can manage illnesses and recover.

HERE'S WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR BOTH TREATMENT AND PREVENTION

1. REST
2. Bone Broth
3. Manuka Honey
4. Natural Vet Nurse Kennel Cough Blend
5. Immune Support Formula
6. If you dog is taking antibiotics SB Capsules
