My beautiful boy Steve is almost 12, and we’ve found a routine that really helps keep him comfortable and strong.

He does hydrotherapy twice a week, along with laser therapy and massage, and together they help keep his body supple, reduce tension in his muscles, and support his overall mobility and wellbeing.

Hydrotherapy in particular has so many benefits for dogs like Steve, including:

Low-impact exercise that protects joints

Improved muscle strength and maintenance

Gentle support for joint movement and flexibility

Pain relief and reduced stiffness

Better circulation and recovery support

Weight management and fitness without strain

Support for balance, coordination, and confidence

He honestly acts like a playful puppy after his hydro sessions, which is the best part to see.

It’s been such an important part of helping him stay active and comfortable as he gets older

Love my Steve 💙🐕🐾

We're known for our work with dogs — but we treat all animals in need. This gorgeous cat was recently brought to us because she was limping and had wounds on her leg.

We are the only animal hospital in a region of 10 million people, and we treat every animal in need, regardless of species or what their guardian can afford. This cat is now out of surgery, pain free and recovering beautifully. This is why we do what we do. All animals deserve love and medical care.🐾❤️

Gorgeous little Rusty pops in twice a week for his hydrotherapy sessions as part of his ongoing rehabilitation following bilateral femoral osteotomy surgeries. 💙

Our focus is on maintaining strength through his hind legs by targeting his gluteal muscles, quadriceps, hamstrings and biceps femoris muscle groups, which now play such an important role in supporting and stabilising his hips. We’re also working hard on keeping his core strong to support his back, as Rusty has some spinal and nerve involvement affecting his right hind leg.

Hydrotherapy allows Rusty to exercise gently in a safe, supported environment. The water helps improve his strength, range of motion, balance and proprioception — his awareness of where his limbs are in space — while reducing stress on his body. We’re also supporting his front end strength, particularly his front right leg, which needs extra care as well.

The most rewarding part has been seeing Rusty become more active and playful again. His beautiful owner is so thrilled with his progress, and I’m incredibly grateful to be part of Rusty’s rehab journey alongside his dedicated owner and veterinary team. 🐾

We’ve been loving our RESPOND PEMF mat here lately — not just for the animals, but for me too! 🐾✨

PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field) therapy works by gently stimulating the body at a cellular level to support circulation, recovery, relaxation, and overall wellbeing. It can help reduce stiffness and tension, support mobility, and encourage the body’s natural healing processes.

It’s been helping support my own knee recovery after ongoing knee issues for more than nine years, and while it hasn’t always been easy, one of the blessings in walking through physical challenges myself has been gaining a deeper appreciation for what animals may be experiencing in their own bodies. I truly feel that when we’ve experienced pain, restriction, or discomfort ourselves, it gives us a greater level of compassion, understanding, and care for the beautiful animals we support.

Po absolutely loves the mat too, and most animals are naturally drawn to PEMF therapy because it’s calming, soothing, and non-invasive. Dogs and cats often become deeply relaxed on the mat, making it a beautiful addition to their wellness and recovery routine. 💛😘
