Hair disturbances 🐕🐾

An Indicator of discomfort can present as a change in the dog’s coat. This is called a hair disturbance.

Notice your dogs coat, is there areas that are more dull then others, or is the hair ruffed up in specific areas.

Has the dog always had these coat changes or are they new?

Hair disturbances can indicate tension between muscles and fascia within the dog’s body (myofascial)

This can be a result of tension in the body causing the skin to tighten, pulling the hair in different directions.

Therefore blood flow to the skin bulb in this area can result in impacting the shedding process. Which results in an unhealthy appearance in these areas.

Have a look at your dog and compare before and after photos. Notice key areas such as shoulder, neck, along the spine. What is the direction of the hair, is it healthy or potentially under tension?

Bowen therapy can help reduce hair disturbances.

K9 Myo-Healing

Hi my name is Tehya Spencer,

I’m the sole owner and founder of K9 Myo-Healing. I’m currently offering Canine Bowen therapy treatments. I’m a qualified ISBT Canine Bowen therapist.

Current working hours include;

Monday- 9am-8pm

Tuesday- 9am-5pm

I do have the possibility to be flexible so if a day doesn’t suit please don’t hesitate to message to arrange another time.

Location- Forge creek (15minutes outside of Bairnsdale)

Currently a Bowen therapy session will cost $70 per dog. No eftpos available, bank transfer will be required.

A report of the treatment will be provided post treatment for every dog and session. The report will include after care advice. The report will also detail areas of discomfort/soreness including areas worked on. Before and after photos will be taken of the dog to demonstrate visual signs of discomfort and improvement, for myself and owners reference of progress and included in report.

The Bowen therapy session will go for around 50minutes.
