We have been looking after our patients as Coast and Valleys Veterinary Hospital for the last 6 years, but Keith has been looking after Central Coast Patients since 1988! We outgrew our lovely cottage at The Old Milk Factory and in July opened our new purpose built Hospital facility in Alison. We are all very happy to be working in a 1st class facility where we can provide our same high standard o

f care for your animals, with a lot more room and improved facilities. Apart from all the surgeries we've already been doing; Ovariohysterectomies, Castrations, Orthopaedics, Abdominal Surgery, Trauma Surgery, our new place has expanded surgical facilities and has allowed us to bring in an outside specialist for more involved procedures, like our first Hip Replacement surgery last week! But, most importantly, even in our big new place, our staff will always care for your pet just like it's their own! We hope you enjoy being here as much as we do!

With the busy festive season approaching — visitors coming and going, travel plans, and open doors — it’s more common than you’d think for pets to accidentally wander off.

A microchip is your pet’s permanent ID, but it only works if the details are up to date! 💡
✅ Make sure your phone number, address, and email are current on your pet’s microchip record.
✅ If you’ve moved house or changed contact details this year, now’s the time to update them.
✅ Not sure where your pet’s microchip is registered? Your vet can help you check or scan it.

A few minutes of checking could make all the difference if your pet ever goes missing. 💕

As we welcome in the start of summer and decorating your home for Christmas, here are a few pet-safe decorating tips to keep tails wagging and whiskers happy:

✨ Avoid low-hanging tinsel, baubles, and small ornaments that curious pets might chew or swallow
🌿 Keep festive plants like lilies, poinsettias, and holly out of reach as they can be toxic to pets
🕯️ Secure electrical cords and keep candles up high
🎁 Choose sturdy, pet-safe decorations if your furry friend likes to “help” with the tree!
