Mandy was called out for Jackie who has an aural haematoma,caused by ear mites, infections or allergies.The constant shaking of the ear and scratching causes a pocket of blood to form In the ear flap.Its painful, sometimes disfiguring and always requires treatment, drainage and sometimes surgery.
Please don't ignore if you see your pet flapping or scratching their ears.You don't want it to get to this stage.Its not only traumatic for the pet but very costly for the owner too.
Any donations to Jackie's treatment would be appreciated.

Ear dog, called Springs, went In for surgery to wash and clean/debride the wound.Eish it's not a pretty sight.We realised we had treated him in June already for same problem.Hopefully it heals properly this time and we keep a closer eye on his progress when he returns home.Poor boy,it must have been so painful.
